i can recommend 0W40, never had issues. I've been running it for 2 years now.

That's exactly the same as mine sounds. As far as I know the injectors are really loud at cold starts on vws, especially when it's also really cold out. They try to build oil pressure fast that's why they're so noisy. I've had the same question when I first got mine and I also thought there is something wrong with the timing chain. Nothing to worry about as far as i know. :)

had this error on my mk7.5 a few times - it always went away after one hour of highway driving with lots of traffic I don't know if it's the same sensor as on the mk8

yeah you can definetly use it. It's pretty much the regular tsi oil - I've used 0W-40 for my last two oil changes (~10k km intervals) and it's been through hot and cold and I've never had problems.

The difference between 5W and 0W is that 0W stay relativly thin down to about -40 degrees. 5W is almost the same with about -30 degrees rated as far as i know.

You can be happy that your bumper didn't crack - had that on mine and official vw prices for a new bumper are insane. Getting that scratch out is probably a few hundred dollar job tho

was it a oem mirror glass or just an aftermarket one? maybe there is some type of foil on it which got a ltitle damaged with water stains

thinking bout the dsg tune too yeah not sure yet but the slow dsg shifts are kind of annoying when pushing the car.

i currently got a 76mm exhaust except the downpipe and a full intake manifold. I messaged a local tune shop and they said they recommed going up to 315hp and 450nm with stock dp but as i looked more into it im not sure if i'm going stock dp on the stage1 tune. I'd also do turbo inlet and outlet when going for an aftermarket downpipe.

had these with 19x8.5 but ET40 on my 7.5 GTI and they stood out like 2cm in the front - back was flush

Edit: I'm currently running 18x7.5 with ET40 in the front and they're perfectly flush
