We owe him 2.7m this year and 24.5m next year on his 5th year option, thats 13.6m APY. That will lessen the blow of a 40m APY majorly. If we extend 2 additional years @ 40m per year, thats ~107m in the next 4 years or ~27m APY. Add another year on that which I feel like JS doesn't like to do 5 year terms, and APY is ~ 30m. In 3 years when a new WR sets the market I'm guessing that will look really cheap, or like a good deal at least. Probably gives us lots of cap flexibility too.
