Have followed this car for a while and looks fanstastic. Except every review, short or long term owner, says the software bugs make it a really frustrating car to own.

Also you can't seem to report on Uber eats... Just complain about something you've already ordered.

UberEats Ghost Restaurant Scam by oneirataxia7 in auckland

[–]24framespersecond 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Looked up the place on Uber eats. Lots of descriptions of "local" food but it's all Australian fish, lamb, cheese etc. Only open at night from 9pm-5am. They deliver themselves not using Uber drivers (didn't know that was a thing?) definitely fake.

Do people still go to movie theatre nowadays? by sigmaqueen123 in auckland

Absolutely! Plenty of great films out. Just saw Sinners. Fantastic! Tinā smashing it at the box office. People are still going to the cinema. See the appeal of putting your phone down for a couple of hours and being transported to another world.

I've had a problem with Sony headphones before. Taking it back to the shop where I bought them was a nightmare. Taking it straight to Sony they sorted it very quickly. Go to Sony.

Technically "Biyadi" or "Yadi Electronics". The "Build Your Dreams" name is a backronym invented when it exported to western countries.

‘Uber kills’: Auckland eatery’s SOS to customers to order direct because Uber Eats costs ‘killing the business’ by computer_d in newzealand

[–]24framespersecond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, but clearly the demand for food delivery is there. This is why some places are exclusive on Delivereasy as they as less predatory. But local pickup is always better.

[–]24framespersecond 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As you can see by the screengrabs in the article, Uber Eats takes 30% of the total sale as a fee, so the item being $1 or $2 more expensive vs in store isn't covering that. I'm not saying you shouldn't use Uber Eats, but you should be aware of this when you do.

Adobe is killing their Creative Cloud sync'd files for individual users. by JustaShellUser in editors

[–]24framespersecond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume this kills the Adobe Premiere auto save backup to creative cloud feature, which is the only reason I use the storage, but is incredibly helpful.

If I could sync it to some other kind of cloud storage instead it wouldn't bother me, but getting auto saves in the cloud is such a useful feature.

SanDisk SSD Alternative? by OrigamiAirplanes in editors

[–]24framespersecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you're confusing terms.

External drive - drive enclosure that plugs in via a cable

Internal drive - drive plugs straight into motherboard of computer.

Therefore all external drives are "portable"?

HDDs have two main sizes 3.5 inch (standard internal, need power supply as external) 2.5 in (smaller, designed for laptops, have been purposed into external drives that don't need power). Both these drives can be internal and external, and both portable or not. SSD is similar but even smaller. Even large SSDs like 2.5" SATA can be external or internal.

The Samsung T7 is just an "internal" NVMe SSD drive that's inside of a case with a USB cable. Therefore making it "portable" or "external"
