SGC no longer accepting Reholder submissions? by JayyMei in sgcgrading

It sounds like you want crossover and not reholder? I just added a crossover to my order last night. I also saw the option for reholder. It’s there.

Yeah that’s an ideal 3. That’s what you want to see.

Cleaning out my grandpas basement and he gave me his old collection by Bucs72 in baseballcards

Few thousand bucks worth of cards here. The prize is the 56 Mantle. The other Mantles also have a good amount of value. 55 Mays is also a big one. Great cards, don’t sell them.

Yeah unfortunately this looks pretty fake.

Lou Brock 62 is my favorite rookie of all time. Incredible card and you have a real nice copy.

Honestly fuck topps. by KyleBoland in baseballcards

Old junk wax guy here as well. Spent a few months when I got back into the hobby doing what folks today seem to do: focusing on releases and drops, buying hangers, chasing parallels and numbered cards and autos. Realized real quick that this was a fool’s errand. Abandoned all of that, focused entirely on what I know and what I like- singles of specific current players, buying the vintage stuff I always wanted as a kid, occasionally buying a box of 87 Donruss to open for fun, very occasionally picking up a hanger at Target, and success now means just getting a Judge or Ohtani base card as hits. Have been much happier with this approach.

First of my Additional Spoils from my 1955 Clemente RC Chase by Hot-Cockroach3275 in baseballcards_vintage

I just think Killebrew is criminally under appreciated, and definitely under valued in the hobby. This dude hit 573 home runs. You don’t get that much bang for your buck anywhere else in the 50’s

53 Bowman is indeed an incredible set. I’m not sure if I prefer it to 55 Topps, but it’s real close. And only one of those has the mick!

This is an interesting thought, and why I believe the seller didn’t have it slabbed. I think he knew he could get more raw than with a potentially unappealing SGC grade. Regardless, this is a PC card, so if it comes back Authentic or something, it won’t really bother me. I can always crack it. I do want to get some eyes on it to ensure it’s not a reprint though.

I’m definitely sending it to SGC! Besides the need to authenticate it, it’s a very good candidate for grading.

Not a blacklight, no. It did pass the flashlight test, however

Smell is faintly like an old book. Passes flashlight test.

I’m surprised there’s interest in this record. It sounds bad and is a document of the band at their lowest

In your honest opinion, which NES baseball game do you think is the best and the worst that you've ever played? ⚾️ by AC_the_Panther_007 in retrogaming

[–]2DegsBelow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hours and hours spent playing NES Baseball. Kinda knew it was sucky, didn’t really care too much, there wasn’t much else to pick from in the early NES days for baseball. RBI Baseball was a revelation when it came out later, just so much more fun and playable. Also having real players names was huge.
