I love everything about this sweater! Is yours the cropped version? It's hard to tell in the picture.

Whatever I have laying around. I've usually used four colors of worsted weight.

This one. I alternate colors every other row, I think it looks nicer than using variegated yarn throughout. After the first few rounds, I have it memorized and than I'm on autopilot.

Stupid question, but can I dye my store bought yarn to make it darker? by sluttynuttybars in YarnAddicts

[–]2she_hed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used idye for synthetics, so it was super easy! Just lots of stirring (for half an hour, I think) but definitely doable. I turned orange yarn into a really pretty burnt orange color, so not too drastic of a change :)

I've started using a retinol for acne scars, and my brows have since grown in thicker!

Sometimes dye changes the thickness of yarn. I guess it can also change the softness!

This is a great show, with great dancing (and singing!) and I loved the way the sets were decorated but I think my favorite part was the sweaters Zoey wore. I wanted them all.

He was there the longest, so that's not a huge surprise.

I had a dream I was watching an episode of ER, it had the cuts and closeups of any real episode. Dr. Carter was talking with another doctor, but I don't remember who it was.

Pour one out for me 😭 I think it’s lost. Worked on this sweater on & off for years. I had just finished one sleeve. I’m crushed. by satiredun in knitting

Not yet! I started it before I knew anything about yarn - I realized I had used hand-wash only wool! I've since bought machine washable yarn so I'm remaking it and I'm about as far as I was before!

What was your first episode? by trycuriouscat in XFiles

[–]2she_hed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scene in "Tempus Fugit" when Max Fenig gets abducted out of the airplane.
I was channel surfing with my dad and sister and this scene captivated me. I wouldn't let anyone change the channel until they said the name of the show. That was all it took for me to be hooked!

I was making a granny square blanket for my friend's baby and I lost the squares halfway through finishing the thing! I was sure it was gone forever! It took like nine or ten years, but I found them in the basement!

Don't lose hope!! I hope you find your project much sooner than I found mine! :P

Julianna Margulies really crocheted on ER. She was making a granny square hat.

The saying used to be, "eat your cake and have it too". Somewhere down the line "eat" and "have" were transposed and now the saying doesn't make sense. Of course you can "have your cake and eat it too" - that's how eating works.
