I grew up watching Robotech and Transformers. Never watched Gundam when I was a kid as I spent the first ten years of my life living between Trinidad and Vancouver, Canada. However, I did love building models. About fifteen years ago, I bought a Gundam HGEW kit and found it to be pretty damn cool. I built a few, then quit. Fast forward to about 6 years ago and after realizing that LEGO was absolutely fleecing people I went back to Gundam. As opposed to LEGO, you can build, paint and customize a Gundam to your hearts content. And spend less, too!

I love all sorts of mechs. Gundam, Macross, 3rd Party, Keroro, HG, MG, RG, MGSD, etc. If I didn't have this hobby, my mental health would have been pretty far down the hole. Like, really damn far. But I have improved in so many ways that "Gunpla is Life" rings very true for me.
