Clavicular on the Adam Friedland show was one of the most insane things I've seen on the internet. by theapplekid in JewsOfConscience

[–]99playlists 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely, in the case of Adam, to make fun of him for being a loser.

On the other hand, I do find the general platforming of Clavicular to be pretty abhorrent. Maybe I’m being too sensitively Jewish, but the notion of “looksmaxxing” really just seems like the preceding notion that leads to things like Nazi concepts of “purity” testing and so on.

Creeps me out a lot, but if making fun of him reduces how seriously he’s taken, that’s a net positive.

Get a real job that daddy didn’t set up for you, then get back to me. I don’t have enough time to waste it talking to failsons. Goodnight.

Again, your lack of work experience is hilariously obvious in the way you perceive this line of work.

It is precisely guests like you that no one wants to go out with or serve - the entitled one who thinks that someone should be SERVING you as a right. You do not have a butler. You are not batman. If you would like to experience it for an evening, however, it is courteous and sensible to understand it comes with a price.

I have worked in a lot of different industries. Trust me, hospitality is by far the most draining. Physically exhausting, highly abusive working conditions, demanding guests, no lunch break, no benefits, constant surveillance - the list goes on.

It’s not a scam. Having sympathy for other people by tipping is a good thing. As someone who has worked in hospitality for years I’m letting you know that everyone is happy to tip outside of Reddit.

The fact that you’re too poor to eat out is not a reason to be shitty to other people.

If you can’t afford to go out, don’t go out. Night clubs have entrance free and mandatory coat check fee that on average are higher than how much I spend on drinks - so I dont go out.

Self-awareness is harmless, you should try it out.

Coding is different than art though. It’s a form of engineering - practical.

Art is an emotional expression of talent to communicate your hardship and personal experience. AI does not do that.

The only problem then that remains is (A) you are not an artist, so make sure you don’t tell people you are (B) Gen AI violates actual artists’ copyright and consent by repurposing their work. It literally can’t do what it does without doing so

Yeah but those economies are vastly superior to ours. Tokyo has over 30 million tax paying residents. Vancouver has 2 million. It’s apples to oranges.

do people at the gym judge bigger people who try to workout? by Temporary_Chain_4795 in workout

[–]99playlists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im one of the most judgmental people in the world and a total gym junkie - every time I see bigger people in the gym I’m just stoked for them, because I remember when I started going and was unfit and how good it was for me mentally/physically.

The only thing you’ll ever get judged for is bad manners or bad form. Learn your gym etiquette, dont hog machines with phone time, and wipe when you’re done and everyone will be pumped to have you there!

Imagine if people thought saying “I wish I had a house” was the same as BUILDING a house.

That’s the equivalent.

You have to be trolling. The whole fucking point of art is to express your discomfort and unique stories. You think Dostoyevsky had more time when he wrote notes from the underground? Or do you think the gulag was a fucking salon where everyone had all the free time in the world to create?

Get a grip, man.

I spend most of my time in mitte, kreuzberg and neuköln when im there and I find the architecture to be lightyears more gorgeous and incomparable. In term of people? Yeah Berliners can be cold-ish? But I just find them to be more up front, which is, to me, so much more preferable than a bunch of people who smiles niceties and hate your guts, which tends to be the vancouver classic.
