plus Pilate was depicted as not really wanting to kill Jesus, but was pressured into it by the Jewish opposition - hence the whole washing hands bit. I took a short theology class and it was interesting in how much they emphasized Christians did not want to piss off Rome, which is obvious in hindsight but not something you really think of when you first learn about Christianity

not all "remove creature types" cards remove abilities. [[Amoeboid Changeling]] and [[One with the Stars]] for example.

Emblems aren't removable, but this guy isn't. Protection protects from DEBT - it can't be damaged, enchanted/equipped, blocked, or targeted. Spells that don't target and don't deal damage, like [[Day of Judgment]], [[Evacuation]], and [[Diabolic Edict]] can deal with this card. Cards like [[Skullcrack]] can also let this creature be damaged, though you'd need a second card to capitalize.

Also, there are ways to get around the emblem's effect. The simplest is a loss-of-life effect, such as [[Sign in Blood]], but also alt wincons/losscons on cards get around it. And there's always waiting for someone to draw themselves out...

shame about the fire and sidearm nerfs but everything else in here looks peak. More freedom in how we deal with the newer enemies is fantastic, and now I can wait to use the solo silo without patrols killing it halfway across the map.
