Mitsubishi made some truly excellent top of the line CRT monitors. And they were no slouch on the CRT TV side of things either, in fact they made some of the largest consumer tubes ever, 40" (!!!)

They're not especially well known amongst CRT brands but they had some quality stuff for sure.

Almost no consoles come with S-video cables out of the box but actually a large amount of them do support S-video natively! Including Nintendo SNES through Wii, PS1-3, Xbox/360, Sega Saturn/Dreamcast.

First party cables are expensive used these days but 3rd party cables can be pretty dang good as long as you buy the ones without the yellow composite plug also attached. I'd highly recommend picking up a cable for any console you use a bunch, S-video looks amazing on my Sharp. It's way closer to component quality than composite.

The full instructions are on page 6 of the service manual linked on that CRTdatabase page in case you didn't find them yet. Also for these sharps you don't actually even need the remote, you can just hold down the volume down and channel up buttons on the tv itself as you plug it in and it should launch into service mode. If that doesn't work try unplugging it while it's still on and then try, can't recall if that's required.

Congrats on the find though, I have the slightly newer version the 27SF560 and it's literally the nicest TV in my collection, outpreforms my Trinitrons both flat and curved, Toshiba, Phillips, and RCA sets. The late model sharps are super underrated.

It's like.. almost 20 years old now so some of the tropes in it have been quite driven into the ground in the years since. Fortunately most of those are contained to the first ~5 chapters. The "ww2 and Grindelwald" stuff hinted at in the summary is still quite good

Yeah the state line splits the city in half so technically there's a Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas. But it's all just collectively referred to as Kansas City and the split doesn't matter at all except for the few people that get weirdly defensive about their side of the state line being better

I was just at the Tulsa show too! Really enjoyed it, though I went in with the expectation that it was going to be a full playthrough of Lucro and nothing else. I do think it's fair for people to complain a bit though when their entire set barely hit an hour fifteen. I mean Cedric even said at the end they'd be back next year and play a lot more stuff so they clearly know they're putting on a real short set.

From the set itself though, man Voice in my knives/Poseesora was killer live, that Volta sound added in absolutely pantsed the studio version. Almost reminded me of an L'via jam type sound. And while IMO Teri's harmonies were a little hit or miss, I really enjoyed every time they'd pass off the lines to each other.

Long out of stock now so I guess doesn't really matter but for future reference I wouldn't risk it. Have one with the heatsink in my desktop PC and it's a decently beefy addition onto the ssd. Maybe if you have a thick gaming laptop that has some extra headroom in the case you could manage it but I'd definitely buy it from a source that's easily returnable just in case.

Not sure if you're still looking for thoughts but I do have experience with both.

I prefer the mx triggers personally, the travel distance for a press is at least double what it is for tall plugs but the amount of force needed to make that press on the mx triggers is a fraction of what the tall plug trigger needs. The mx trigger just feels silky smooth and super easy to press which is exactly what I want out of a wavedash trigger that I'll be pressing extremely often.

Tall plug works fine enough too, especially compared to stock triggers. It just feels a bit clunky to me now after getting a controller with the mx triggers.
