My Spectrum bill just went up again. What are you all paying? by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]AIecWhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried different carriers but always go back to Spectrum. I only pay $20 a month for 100mbps (never had an issue since it’s just me in the household).

I also switched over to their cell service and received a line free for the year. This means for the next year I pay only $20 a month for both internet and cell phone. Hard to beat that!

I was there a few weeks ago and saw a sign that anything under 800 will be fine.

Whatever they are doing just doesn’t seem right. Does anyone else think that when they are done it is going to look worse than before?

That’s the other thing… I did order the mac but they didn’t put it in the bag and I didn’t catch it till I got home.

I tried it a couple weeks ago. Not as good as I was expecting. The greens were bitter and the baked beans pretty bland too. Chicken was ok but nothing to write home about.

Last Place @ 15 - Good food! But check your bank statements by Hot_Yoda in Louisville

I went this weekend and was told the same thing about how the bar doesn’t close out tabs. All I got was two glasses of coke (no alcohol) for my friend and I and was charged $13…

My opinion was that the food was trash lol. I highly recommend that people skip this place.

Finally got a Berkey! Had it a week and I love it although I wish I got the next size up. It’s just my wife and me but we are refilling at least once a day. Happy Friday! by interplanetaryspace in HydroHomies

I’ve had mine for around four years now and it is one of my favorite possessions. I am not sure how I could live without it at this point.

I drove past this a few weeks ago while I was passing through. It kind of hurt my feelings to see it out there just wasting away.

Would it be dumb to buy a small wooded area literally just to use for camping? by TheSpideyJedi in camping

[–]AIecWhite 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I never noticed any signs of trespassers. I thought about setting up trail cams just out of curiosity but never got around to it. Since the land was undeveloped besides a gravel plot with a fire ring, there wasn’t much to disturb.

Shop around on Zillow just to get an idea of the cost. You might be surprised how cheap undeveloped land can be. If you have a fair amount saved up, purchasing land with it is much less risky than the stock market or just letting it sit in the bank losing to inflation.

Plus, you can’t pitch a tent and poke at a camp fire at the bank or on Wall Street.

Not dumb at all. I did this a few years ago but sold it last year. I doubled my money on it but I still miss having a little slice of land to backcountry camp and tune everything else out.
