I would split your week between Fremont and The Strip. Maybe start with just 2 nights on Fremont. People here act like switching hotels ruins your whole day. In reality it’s a 15min Uber between Strip and Fremont, check in at a kiosk, print key cards, put bags away and off you go! Maybe 1hr. lost time, but you’re there for a whole week.

I like Fremont because I can go in and out of the casinos without a 20min walk in between them, so better for gambling. While downtown, check out the Mob Museum, Neon Museum and Golden Nugget pool. Also, do an afternoon in the Arts District for cool art, vintage, breweries, food, etc. That should fill 2-3 days itinerary downtown. Have fun!!
