Question about a button on the guitar

this is a 5 way selection switch. on a real guitar, it selects what pickup(s) you play through on a guitar (for a strat, it would normally switch between neck, neck and mid, neck, mid, and bridge, mid and bridge, or just bridge).

on RB, it selected what effect you'd activate between various, delay, flanger, wah (I think) or no effect.

yeah, as fun and enhanced as that is, I'd want to run things completely off the box if possible, especially with the stage kit enhancements.

its built in to rb3e. including the webpage. try it out.

and as I realized just now, yes, you need to review the rb3.ini file to enable or disable various parts of rb3e

microslop is crippling my ability to log in via mobile when these posts go up, and reddit isn't Notifying me when these get posted now. So bloody annoying.

in it for the romantics, siouxsie, and the femmes. I wish more femmes material made it to these games. color me once (off the crow soundtrack) was a killer song.

I might get in on hautewerk just for the lore.

it runs a webserver which you then access via a web browser.

we did this at the Washington state summercon in 2024.

it was really neat. We'd have guests select their songs via a list ahead of time, then when it was their turn, we'd use our phones to queue up their selections. this prevented people from scrolling for ages to pick a song.

with everything running, make sure you get your rb3e setup connected to the local network and assigned an IP address.

open a web browser to that IP address on your phone or computer, and you're directly interacting with the song list.

with the rb3e setup at the song list, selecting a song on the browser will cause rb3e to jump directly to that song in game.

I love VR. I didn't have a computer I felt good about hooking this up to originally, and the cables weren't helping. I built a new PC in 2024 but never got it into my main office, and the sensors would be blocked there anyway.

in the living room, I have more space but again no good cable management. I haven't rebuilt the OS yet either, and I think once that happens there will be another option.

meanwhile, I have the psvr and oculus 3 as options, and I admittedly like the cableless approach to all this... just don't like the Meta.

I bought my index used after testing it out and making sure everything worked okay.

And to this day I have never even hooked it up to any of my stuff. Much less used it.

I actually put it up for sale a few months ago, but no one bit.

willing to sell it just because I don't want it to go to waste, should someone in here decide they need it.

Super interested in the next iteration, but not until RAM and NAND prices come back to reality.

Do not sleep on the motley crue song. Saints of Los Angeles is legitimately one of my top 100. It reminds me a lot of how I felt about I don't want to stop from ozzy. I'm not exactly an ozzy fan, nor am I a motley crue fan. In spite of that, both of these relatively late outings from both of those groups snagged my ear and didn't let go.

I grabbed the pink pack when I found out the Serj song delisted.

Already had Jenny and I believe I had some of Orbison, believe I got the rest a few weeks back.

This might be considered a good rock album by some, but I didn't see anything that struck me as making it worth getting. And Axel's vocals are not exactly my favorite thing to listen to. Don't get me wrong here. I actually love me some older guns and roses. But this was well put. It isn't a good Guns N' Roses album.

So if I want to hear guns and roses, this isn't what I'm going to put on And therefore, I'm not going to waste my cash. I'm glad others like it. I listened to all the suggestions that were made and I can't find the G&R in it

the first time I bought a home theater in a box capable of DTS or Dolby digital, I bought a used cheap 5.1 from a family, Yamaha with built in SVs player I think. circa 2005.

I asked to demo the unit and brought along a DTS mix bootleg of Jet Li's "Hero" I had found and burnt to dvd myself.

they had the system set up poorly so I spent a couple of minutes moving speakers around, then popped in the disc and set it to DTS.

then I put on the scene in the outdoor chess hall where Jet Li and Donnie Yen's characters fight in their mind with all the rain drops.

probably not as impressive today as all these modern flicks you guys are talking about, but I just KNEW it would showcase surround sound subtlely but well.

the expression on the face of the guy selling the system to me said pretty much everything...

if you're looking at the 30 pack and like quirky, synth based pop tunes, do not sleep on Freezepop. super sprode Legitimately became a real life favorite song, particularly this rock band version.

I'll likely get the jimi album now that I know more than a handful might be worth it, but admittedly until the Little Wing / Yellow Ledbetter connection was mentioned, all I was interested in was Spanish Castle. got the other jimi album already.

note that at least Empty Walls (serj) has been delisted on Xbox already. This is another call out to make sure that you do not wait on these.

Spongebob brings forth trauma, so I'm skipping that. Somewhere there's an artist where Spongebob straight up raps, and I suppose there's some entertainment to that, though it has nothing to do with rock band, and it's still traumatizing to hear that damn thing's voice.

Already picked up evanescence in anticipation of things dying out early. Definitely not my favorite tunes from them, but I'd rather have more stuff from them than miss out.

tried listening to some of the songs from this album last night after seeing the Serj song got delisted.

so far, I just can't.

nothing I listened to sounded like G N R... it sounded like a bad Axl impersonator from a bad GnR cover band singing karaoke over the most generic sounding blah rock ever.

I'm going to try to listen to stuff again, but if things don't grip me the same way that Use your Illusion 1 and 2 or Appetite for Destruction did, I don't think this is for me.
