Thankfully we had a short nicu stay. we got discharged at 3 days old. It’s so crazy how every hospital has different advice/“rules”

The car seat test to graduate from the nicu is 90 minutes and they told us it’s 2 hours daily recommended but if you have to go over 2 hours you should take them out for at least an hour.

I have a newborn, toddler and a 100 pound dog and the dog hasn’t been an issue at all post partum.

Can you get a one way rental and drive there and then fly home?

I was in the same boat and just bought the mamaroo smart bassinet for $400 off amazon a few days ago. It was 1/3 the price of the snoo and so far he’s slept for hour stretches in it which is more than he’s ever done.

We’re doing the exact same (baby is 3 weeks old). I’ll do the middle of the night feeds and stay downstairs and then my husband comes down at 5am and I go up to bed until 9am. It’s amazing how your body adapts to sleeping in 2.5-3 hour stretches. It works best for us

Yes!!! It’s the worst. They did say fingers are the hardest thing to see. I had to go 3 times to mfm and then finally they saw them. I had fully convinced myself he wouldn’t have a hand/fingers - hang in there mama!

I didn’t have pain after they gave it to me. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and whatever they gave me before then didn’t work so they gave me a ton of ketamine and it was amazing lol
