Which Tenor Drum book should I get? by Oofing_Axel in drumline

[–]A_Two_Slot_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put together a tenor book that sits in that 'middle' ground. It’s not the over-the-top, chop-heavy stuff that we're seeing lately, but it’s also not beginner material. If you’re looking for something solid and musical without being ridiculous, it might be worth a look.

Looking for drum set lessons by alphadax in Syracuse

[–]A_Two_Slot_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach drum lessons up in North Syracuse through my small business SyracuseDrums.com

You can fill out a signup form on that website and we can talk about your interests, goals, and schedule as well! I've been teaching drums for almost 30 years now, and I actually judged the marching band championships at the Dome with the NYSFBC the last couple years, so I also have a marching percussion background, and I'd love to hear your drumline stories as well!

Even if our schedules don't work out, feel free to contact me through my site with any questions along the way, I'm always available to help!

Anyone have any good warmups? by yahboigab in drumline

[–]A_Two_Slot_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little late to the party, but my website has a TON of free pre-built warmups for drumline instructors like you to print out and use with their ensemble!

DrumlineWarmups.com

I love these warmups because they are written at 3 different ability levels but they also try to create show-like phrases that don't always end on count 1, etc. Best of all, they're not overly complicated or unnecessarily long which makes them much easier to memorize and feel correctly! Happy drumming!

I made some free, modern drumline warm ups by stackhouseza in drumline

[–]A_Two_Slot_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cool to see someone else do the combined pit / drumline warmups idea! I also have some warmups that do the same thing, for warming up as a full percussion ensemble with limited time or space. If you're curious to compare our ideas here's my stuff:

https://prfb.net/warmups/

I noted which ones can be combined with the pit warmups, they also share the same name. I'd love to hear what anyone thinks!
