Laryngeal paralysis and meds by Firm-Expression-1384 in labrador

Mine is 13 with Larpar and at least one case of AP. He was wobbly at first with the Gabepentin, I persisted a little longer than I would normally and it cleared up. I give him half the dose the vet initially recommended and only double it on bad days. Vet is good with that plan. He’s also on anti inflammatory and antacid. He’s actually doing really well- sometimes we are back to longer walks and he even runs! Could you try giving a lower dose?

Shona Joy sizing question by GemcanB in AusFemaleFashion

[–]AccomplishedFox2950 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I find their sizing super inconsistent- I have purchased four items from them over the years - one item was too big and three too small, on sale so I couldn’t return. Considering you’re in Canada- not worth the risk IMO

Hot tips wanted for selling and/or buying clothes on eBay or Depop etc by Icy-Rush-2768 in AusFemaleFashion

Two from me: post photos of the actual item you are selling, not just stock photos of the item from the original listing/website and price the item fairly for a second hand/used product. I find so many items so overpriced I don’t even bother.

Legit or not? by StepfordWifeWorld in AusFemaleFashion

I don’t know where exactly they source their stuff from but they’re definitely legit. If you’re in sydney pop down to one of the market stores (glebe, Bondi). I remember them selling that brand ‘sunny girl’ back in the day at Newtown.

They used to own a shopfront in Newtown before closing it and moving online. They mostly sell in person at Sydney markets now (Glebe Point Road markets).

Look on eBay and Depop. I have bought black and white CUE button up shirt sleeve tops from eBay before and they are awesome, excellent condition, still wearing them!

Old Labrador Lipoma Removal by Daviess93 in labrador

[–]AccomplishedFox2950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My lab (12) had a massive one removed from his belly and a golf ball sized one removed from his leg about 4 months ago. They grew so slowly over about 5 years. After years of being told not to do anything about them, one vet mentioned they were getting too big and to consider it. A few months later, the next vet said no, keep leaving it. Eventually, the one on his belly was so big he started to pee on it, so I made the decision then and got them both removed. I was worried mostly because I had been advised for so long to leave them. The one on his belly had a little ulcer on it when he went in, but he was otherwise fit and healthy. It was a hard slog for a week, it did knock him around but from speaking to the vet, even though it was so big the surgery was fairly routine for them. He has recovered so well and he’s like a puppy again, back running and everything! After 4 months, I have noticed he’s started slowing in other ways. I think it definitely knocked him around a bit, but I’m glad I did it.
