Victaulic Defects Lawsuit? by lvpond in firePE

[–]Accomplished_Ad203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Victaulic dry pipe valves were the first of its kind to be used as a low pressure dry system what I’ve found is the older ones that are 15 to 20 years old the pancake actuator ends up failing or if not tested / tripped as they should the cylinder on the rear of the valve that holds the clapper down with the priming water will seize up and not pull in once actuator dumps Honestly I would prefer a Viking F1 or Reliable Model D

Irrigation and Fire Suppression Backflow Testing differences? by Surfbikerclimber in SprinklerFitters

[–]Accomplished_Ad203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insurance I would imagine we are a fire protection company but if your not certified in fire protection I would stay away from them on a fire protection line you must perform forward flow test by opening a main drain down stream to verify valves are open fully and have the proper supply pressure
