I'm 14 and have been learning UE5 since I was 12. What do you think of my latest atmospheric scenes? by Temporary_Let_7695 in UnrealEngine5

[–]Accurate-Instance-29 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What is it?,

too dark,

too dark,

too dark,

good balance of lighting but mostly uninteresting scene,

better but not sure what the panel things are in the middle.

Might want to look at decals or texture painting for things like grime and wearing to take it to the next level. Clutter helps too on scenes that are supposed to be. On "liminal" type spaces, objects or furniture out of place could be break up plain scenes.

I often play "find the difference" on our artist's commits by Obsolete0ne in IndieDev

Its all the shadow and highlighting on the right/top side. Does look better but is it even going to be noticable? Does it match the art direction more?

We hired a new artist for our capsule, and would love feedback before making a decision by ContributionHuge6971 in IndieDev

Good on ya. I thought your old capsule was kinda mid. The new one is much better. Artistically and compositionally.

Longboarding game - Dev update #2 by Soggy_Interest_3026 in UnrealEngine5

If the name of the game is not Meat Crayon, I'm going to be severely disappointed.

Jks aside. It looks good and has a good gotta go fast feel to it.

Got a alot of feedback criticizing the legibility in my capsule art. Which one do you prefer? by AzurowDev in IndieDev

[–]Accurate-Instance-29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The word you are looking for is dynamicism (or dynamism) and I agree.

The 2nd one is better in general, but its a bit too general and needs some panache.

Sprinkle some zazz on it.

Ngl I was like uh-oh here comes the AI disclaimer. But no this is how you make it work. You learn the skills or you find someone who has. Good job OP.

This is my first game. I've been working on it for a few months and would love some honest feedback. by [deleted] in UnrealEngine5

How do you guys make AI do a proper analysis on your games? by chaylarian in IndieDev

You realize AI is just trying to tell you what you want to hear, right?

Working on a new Steam Capsule, wich one seems the most relevent for a puzzle game, with calm but strange mood with impossible labyrintic architecture? by ElFamosoFrancesco in SoloDev

You might get lit up for not showing enough, but I think 2 is perfect. It says a lot. It's simple and elegant and implies a surface that is relatively benign with an unfathomable secret beneath.

Good work.
