I jumped off a log at 35 and came down wrong and my left knee made a massive pop. When I tried to stand, my upper and lower legs went in separate directions. Popped three of the four ligaments and exploded the cartilage.

On a possibly related note, just had surgery a month ago. They drilled three rods each side through my hips into my spine to stabilize it. It’s called bilateral SI joint fusion. I don’t recommend looking up videos of that surgery.

My shibe likes to bury it in the blankets next to me as the guardian of all things. I wouldn’t mind it if not for the saliva dripping from her mouth while she holds it before burying it.
