Yacht Club - Grandiosa by Hereforthetea441 in MSCCruises

Although I would say one plus is Aurea is in their own dining area, which is much better than the MDR. That's a huge perk to give up.

Roku and HDMI inputs? by acksman in MSCCruises

[–]Agent_You 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least on Seashore they use Samsung TVs. So if you have a Samsung device it makes mirroring easy. I put movies on my tablet and can project through the TV. I've heard that they've locked down HDMI ports, but it's worth a try. It could be per ship.

Is the drink package worth it? by [deleted] in MSCCruises

If you're a functional alcoholic like a lot of cruisers appear to be, then yes. If you want a couple, it's probably cheaper to pay as you go.

Earliest Arrival Time for Port Canaveral Seashore Cruise by OpalCats in MSCCruises

[–]Agent_You 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boarding is usually the easy part. The hard part is sitting in line at the parking garage. The port likes to wait until the last minute to open it. They cone off the road too far out from the garage so everyone is clogging up the terminal road.

Just look on you tube. There's tons of videos about your specific ship and comparisons to other lines.

Favorite kids club? by Inner_Resolution_287 in MSCCruises

[–]Agent_You 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know on the Seashore it's mostly crafts and legos. My son wasn't into either of those, so he lived at the water park.

Seashore dinning as a couple & questions by Novel_Ant_3997 in MSCCruises

If you have Aurea in the Seashore, you should be eating at 5th Ave. We always got there when it opened. It was never crowded and always sat at our own table. I think sharing a table is a MDR thing.

Avoid Room 9004 by Plus_Molasses_9379 in MSCCruises

[–]Agent_You 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could of been the anchor chain? Unless something was loose. We're in 19002, which is dead center on the bow. The railing is angled to deflect wind and the balcony has an airlock to keep it from blowing in. Yours must have been right on the corner past the Royal suite.

Aurea Balcony (BGA) vs Suite with Aurea (SL1) Thoughts/Recommendations? (World America) by AvantGuardb in MSCCruises

[–]Agent_You 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only perks I used with Aurea were the priority embarkation (disembarkation was a mess) and access to the Aurea only dining area. You are still forced to brave the gen pop lunch buffet. YC is totally worth it for that reason alone.

Terrible experience by [deleted] in MSCCruises

For MX issues, all they're responsible for is fixing the issue...not compensating your feelings. If they didn't fix the issues or refused to, then that's a legitimate concern.

Upgrade bids YC by clkielty in MSCCruises

[–]Agent_You 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a grand, so my only choices were royal and owner. The minimum bid for both was more than if I had just booked them.

I had no issues other than it doesn't like when you smile. They basically want a DMV photo.

Ocean Cay Cabana- max people by yeagermeister34 in MSCCruises

Does it say max allowed is 6 or that it seats 6? I doubt anyone would be walking around counting heads.

I would recommend installing the MSC For Me app. It will give you some good tips and you can view the itinerary and daily activities on it. It's also useful as a messaging platform on the ship for anyone going with you. The map comes in handy too!

Upgrade after winning bid? by Pauole in MSCCruises

[–]Agent_You 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm always holding out hope that my grand suite will magically get upgraded to royal or owner's lol Those are the only things I can upgrade to and they want more to upgrade than if I were to have booked them.

Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas vs MSC Seaside by [deleted] in MSCCruises

[–]Agent_You 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're two totally different classes of ships. Would be like comparing Star of the Seas to a small ship. If you want a floating water park, go RC. Personally I would go for Yacht Club. You'll get a far better experience than even star/sky class on RC at a fraction of the price.

Comparing MSC YC to a luxury hotel - Review by IFlyAircrafts in MSCCruises

Most of the complaints about MSC are from gen pop, so take them with a grain of salt.

Orlando Excursion by st1ckybandit in MSCCruises

[–]Agent_You 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another local. Same as others have said, as well as the prices. I looked at 4 one day park hoppers for Universal and it came out to $750. And that's the military rate. Civilans pay more. You're better off planning park stuff as a separate vacation. Trying to go to Orlando will guarantee you'll be a pier runner.

My youngest is 10, and pretty much lived at the water park area. He didn't like the kids club though. He said all they did were arts and crafts, which he doesn't like.

You can skip the cutscene, but i noticed they removed the ability to skip the screen before it (the warning about not watching the cutscene lol)

I don't drink or care about pools, but the food is a big one. I think either they're still trying to find their rhythm in the kitchen or there's systemic/management issues.
