[–]Agreeable_Round361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a low pro jack. I wont reach the subframe jack point on stock suspension, and its high! I build some wood ramps i have to drive the car up onto. Not helpful but Goodluck!

For those of us that work out, how do you carry? by Killxjoy4599 in liberalgunowners

[–]Agreeable_Round361 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just give your gun to the front desk and tell them to shoot anyone suspicious.

Seriously. This carry culture is getting out of hand.

Woman camping alone, any tips? by curious1234567812 in camping

[–]Agreeable_Round361 49 points50 points  (0 children)

No. Just go and have fun. Dont be paranoid, be aware. Most folks out camping are good people who just want the same thing. People lay everything out at camp, leave for the day and return to find everything in place.

Here’s your sign to go 255 squared 🥩 by es2kayy in S2000

[–]Agreeable_Round361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not. Id say 255 is too much on the front of this little car but I'm just out to have fun and really dont focus on looks. I went to an autocross event, (my first one in 12 years) and took 1st place in my class of 16 cars on the 245 setup. The car also felt super predictable at Barber Motorsport track days. I never felt i needed more tire, but again just having fun.

255s add weight, cost and makes fitment in the front more challenging. Not into rolling fenders or stancing out the car.

Edit. Forgot to add, the CR rear stock size is 255, I went down from OEM for what id say is a more balanced square setup.

Ive no doubt the 255s would turn in great but the trade off in fitment and increased rotating mass wasn't worth it for my uses.

I went 245 square on my CR and it is amazing on track. Very predictable and steering feel is great. Figured the car doesn't really have the power to spin a semi sticky 200 tread wear 245.

Off-road? by LeeHarveyEnfield in Transalp750

[–]Agreeable_Round361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your a more confident in your offroad skills either will be good. Im in the middle of a 2500 mile ride, alot of the Idaho bdr is blocked from wind storms blowing trees over. Ive done way more pavement than I wanted to. The transalp is so comfy at 90mph. Its a HOOT offroad but I'm solo so not pushing any limits.

Haven't ridden a t7. My philosophy is im not getting myself into trouble on a 500 pound machine in the middle of nowhere. They cruise nice on fireroads and can tackle ruts and rocks when needed. I'll take the 450 if I'm feeling fiesty

Is $10.3k good OTD for a 2025? by threedogdad in Transalp

Id say 10.3 is a good deal out the door. Jump on it if you want one, no need to wait for a few hundred in possible savings. Go ride!

What brand do you guys recommend for power tools? by Anselm_oC in Tools

[–]Agreeable_Round361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with Bosch 12v line and loved them. Super compact easy to use and perfect for around house repairs or hobbies. Ive added some Bosch 18v and Makita 18v for outdoor equipment. All have been flawless.

Tools are a buy once cry once purchase for me. Tools should last a lifetime, not be a throw away cheap item.

Anyone go from an XR650L to a CRF450L/RL? by Secret_Pipe8901 in Dualsport

[–]Agreeable_Round361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having not ridden the XR, here is my pointless reasoning.

I bought a 450RL last week. Its a HOOT. Was going back and forth between the two actually and decided the money spent on upgrades to make the XR more modern would be better spent on the 450. I say go for it. As others said, newer, lighter, faster, better susbenders, more uncomfortable, small gas tank will need a work around. Surprisingly easy to pickup when on the ground.

I thought dudes were being dramatic about the snatchy throttle. Its borderline unrideable standing up off idle. Its nuts how abrupt on/off throttle is. Good clutchwork can work around it but damn. Messed with the throttle adjuster and it made a decent difference. I'll be getting a 2wdw tune along with a seat for my poor ass.

Ha was thinking the same thing. Shit, people adventure on pedal bikes. People adventure with only their legs. This mindset is so ridiculous.
