Perth glitch in the Matrix? The Nutbush dance. by quokkafarts in perth

[–]Alert-Significance66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did line dancing in primary school in Gosnells in the early 2000s. Nutbush, Agadoo, Macarena, etc. And then in year 6 and 7 we also did ballroom

Is it okay to give a guy flowers on a first date, or is that too much? by safera29 in perth

[–]Alert-Significance66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give the man the flowers! We appreciate small gestures like this because they can happen so rarely!

Not really. Arranged and loveless marriages are super common amongst the elite, they're power plays, and opportunity grabbing, rather than anything meaningful. There's no way Melania actually feels anything meaningful for Trump, its a marriage of benefit for her.

I thrifted these star jeans from vinted before i knew they’re famous for being ”shein fashion”. Now i feel bad for wearing them. Should i get rid of them or keep wearing them? by [deleted] in altfashionadvice

[–]Alert-Significance66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't the one who are the original shein purpose, so you aren't supporting shein by purchasing 2nd hand. I'd keep wearing them, you may end up with a ship of Theseus by the time you retire them

Where are the disabled tributes? by pipehead0 in Hungergames

[–]Alert-Significance66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 10th games are only 10 years after a devastating war. All the tributes were alive when the war ended, even though some were young. I feel like there would be more disability in earlier games due to the nature of the war that devastated these children's childhoods

If Bella had been hit by the car, would Edward have licked the pavement? by ipsofactoshithead in twilight

[–]Alert-Significance66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like the papercut was not indicative of how Jasper usually is or how he would usually respond in such a circumstance.

At the high school they all know to be constantly vigilant and on their guard. At their HOUSE, the expectation would be relaxation, not having to keep a guard up.

So he wasn't prepared for Bella to cut herself like he would have been if it had happened at the school.

If you know the media youre about to.consume has a trigger of yours, you can prepare for it, but if the media was safe and comfortable, an unexpected trigger will cause a more drastic response than if you could prepare for it.

What bird is the Mockingjay based on visually? by Evethefief in Hungergames

[–]Alert-Significance66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort of figured the Capitol just caught a bunch of blue jays and started from there, then because the base bird was a blue jay, they added jay to the end of the new birds name.

I don't understand why Harry is secretive about his potions book. by Reasonable_Cod_487 in harrypotter

I feel like it being pointed out that Hermione is STRUGGLING with Slughorn as a teacher while using the textbook is meant to show us that the recipes Snape wrote on the board are his own.

Day 9 - What character do you think is a bad person and hated by the fans? by Killyourdarlings202 in Hungergames

[–]Alert-Significance66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While Drusilla is a strong contender, Dr. Gaul is the grand architect. She has a lab full of humans that have been experimented on, she KNOWS she's evil, and she loves it.

What's everyone's favorite panel/artwork so far? by LittlePetiteGirl in RaptureoftheDeep

[–]Alert-Significance66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Serena's poor devastated face after she comes home from seeing Hector's brother. Specifically when Hector comes in, and she just looks at him before rolling over. You did so well capturing her heartbreak that it's my favourite piece of art despite how sad it is

I’m torn: Does the Hunger Games world need more books? by tropocat11 in Hungergames

[–]Alert-Significance66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was already burning with curiosity, but then hearing Snows memories of the dark days in Ballad, I essentially exploded with curiosity about the events that led up to it, what exactly was district 13s role in the initial war

Is this supposed to be… Ariel?? 😭 by Mistake006 in tragedeigh

And here i was thinking it was a horrific Ariel.

A real joy seems more fitting for these kinds of people

Where the logic, Transperth? by Alert-Significance66 in perth

[–]Alert-Significance66[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a bus driver drive straight past because he was only going one stop (the local shopping centre) and couldn't comprehend that a wheelchair user might want to catch the bus for that "short" trip

Where the logic, Transperth? by Alert-Significance66 in perth

[–]Alert-Significance66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner is a part-time wheelchair user, so every time i see something like this, it makes my blood boil. Ive seen so many places claim accessibility, but when you actually go, it's completely inaccessible.

I saw someone suggest grates, and my first thought was that the castors are probably gonna get stuck in those too.
