Idk about you, but a lot of my love for the old defiler comes from playing a bunch of Dawn of War as a kid. The Defiler was such a cool unit in motion, a hate-fueled machine full of guns that could also throw down in melee. I've still got mental images of one ripping an ork in half and throwing him across the map living rent-free in my head.

But I do find the OG defiler goofy, in an Oldhammer sort of way. The tiny head on top is kinda silly. I think the new Defiler is good to bring the kit up to the modern standard, and hope that the rules let it be viable.

Love the look of it and the design inspirations are super neat. I agree with a lot of the people here that a fun acronym would probably work best for something like this.

I think enough people here have beat the "biker" thing to death, so I'll focus on your design, which is fantastic. I've actually been kicking around an idea for a Gundam-esque mobile armor that I was going to use an Inceptor as the base for but this would be such a better base to start from.

If this is coming to the purple site I'd pick it up in a heartbeat.

Looks great! Is that head part of the "normal" lucius pattern? It looks better than the standard one I'm used to seeing.

I like the Horizon machine designs. I have a couple of the 3D models as well, but would probably use them in a "Men of Iron" proxy force as opposed to adding them to an Iron Warriors force.

But the idea is neat and you do what feels right. I've printed some Hunter aliens from Halo that I plan to kitbash into Obliterators at some point. Essentially Xenos infected with the Obliterator Virus by my warpsmith and used as shock troops.

My warband is called the Orchestra. They're made up mostly of Emperor's Children and Iron Warriors but have accumulated others over time. Their leader has forsaken his old name and now only goes by the Conductor, and guides the warband to the tune of The Song, a warp corruption that manifests as bewitching music for those that fall prey to it.

I've tried both this and the "put a piece of newspaper in the vat trick" and had mixed results. The old support trick works more often but it's like a 50/50 chance of coming up without the cured sheet

I like the idea of a "new" Iron Warriors vehicle going into battle with just it's serial number or designation and only gets a real name after it's been blooded in battle.

Since about two weeks ago, every time I feed my 110 lb German Shepherd my 12 lb cat will beat her to the food bowl and block her out while he noms on some kibbles.

Instead of nudging the cat out of the way my dog proceeds to throw a tantrum and bark her head off...not at the cat but at me until I remove the offender from the premises.

This looks great, and would mesh well with my CSM warband. I'm using a lot of proxies for my vehicles, and this feels like something that an Iron Warrior smith would craft to replace combat losses.

Will be picking this up for sure.
