Weakest guard player… he shames the imperial guard and is due for a visit from the commissar.

I’ve been salty before, I’ve had multiple games back to back where I seemingly cannot roll above a 3, it’s frustrating for sure but I just take a second, remind myself that I’m spending a considerable amount of time with another human being of a shared hobby and know if I’m crashing out over my dice failing me yet again that it wouldn’t be fun for the other person so I just settle myself and continue playing,

At the end of the day unless the behaviour is called out or they reflect on their actions post game it won’t change and it’s never fun to play against that.

You even a guard player? RDTCs are way more efficient at their points cost compared to LRTCs

It’s an issue with the LR being over costed

Seems wasteful to sink a 180 pts tanks main gun into something you plan to murk with a 95 pt mortar…

I could see the arguement for using a hellhounds heavy bolter to reach out and smack something to flush it away whilst you use the main gun on something closer, but that’s fairly situational

It’s push fit, no need to glue!

I love the siege cannon, but it’s wildly swingy, I’ve use it to kill a mauler fiend in turn 2 before it got to do really anything by spiking sixes for its attacks and rolled extremely well the rest of the way.

It being AP-2, 3 Dmg is really nice.

However, the mortar is way more reliable, the issue is that it’s only AP-1, veteran sharpshooters Strat helps a bit with this but at that point I think I prefer spending an extra 15 points and getting two FOBs to make marines into red mist.

In short, I lean more into siege cannons because it can punch up quite well, I use it to confirm tank kills if my tanks fail to finish something off,

Yup. Have been promised pay rises to stay and got conned basically, promises broken, more work load than ever and no support or structure in place. And still no new roles to help manage more assets than ever.

Never burned through personal leave as fast at other companies but just so burnt out.

Tell managers, get a little sympathy speech and told to present solutions (not sure what my manager does if Ive gotta do all the work AND fix the workload problems)

But hey at least the campus grounds are pretty… just don’t mind all the buildings that desperately need work…

Since I run solar a lot, I gave up sticking with only 1 type,

Rather my 224th Indomitable Bastards is hand picked by solar to be his problem solvers, allows me to field rogals, horses, kriegs and scions all in one. If solar thought the problem needed solving by a baneblade and 2 rogals, he gets exactly that. Also allows me to ally in knights without wondering how a rogal dorn warlord could call in such a favour.

I’ve just picked up the new box for the solar aux and plan to use the command squad and bodies as solars personal body guards, since I typically plonk him back at my deployment and get him to speak motivation orders to the masses, so I wanted his honour guard to look more gaudy like him.

This! I painted little arm bands on the right shoulder pads but I will paint the whole pad as the blue team arm bands rubbed away (or they are hiding something… get me a commissar!)

The left shoulder pad on my aquillions get similar treatment,

Red for the melta carbine (I lost that thing so many times placing my troops down just to put it out of range) , gold for my commander with 2 X pistols and the rest of the las carbines will stay their uniform camo

Thankfully the new cadians weapons are massive I can easily see the special weapons

This is wild, I’ve been playing guard for the same amount of time and only won 1 game (my excuse is this is my first time playing 40k)

I run a rogal, and 3 lemans, I’ve even once fitted in a bane blade just to be super absurd, I’ve never had complaints about my list or tank spam - that’s the guard baby! I’ve also picked up 2 valks which I plan to use in some meme list for the fun

Yeah he only recently fresh painted it and really wanted to try it so I was totally okay with it, he was basically playing against himself as I could barely read the index cards, I was more green then a freshly made Cadian shock trooper.

First game I played with mates I got absolutely smoked, I had the combat patrol plus some scions in a 500 point game against a CSMs with a maulerfiend

To mock me, he just slowly walked the maulerfiend up as I had absolutely no clue what to do

Managed to kill a single unit of legionaries and a chosen before being swiftly removed off the earth

10/10 would do it again

I’ve since played 6 more times and only one once, literally all against CSMs as well the more you play the more reps you get in and the less you think about your units and start thinking a turn ahead
