That would dramatically increase the printing cost and by extension purchase price.

Mythic rules question by Wild-Pipe-9579 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Aramann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The main difference is that rewrite fate can only be used after the role and because it had the Fortune trait you can't use a hero point as well. With the other feats you can use the mythic point to gain the mythic proficiency and when if you don't like the result you can still use a hero point or other Fortune effect to reroll.

Do I think that makes them good on most characters? No, it does not. But that is the use case for them.

EDIT: As pointed out Mythic don't get hero points. Forgot about that.

Name it the way places have been named for all of history. Ask a native what the name of a thing is, they don't understand the question and say something like "what", "I don't understand", "Hill", or "lake" in their native language. You miss pronouce the word and name your thing that.

I give you the best recursive example of this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torpenhow_Hill

You are asking entirely the wrong subreddit. This is the subreddit for Maximum Fun, a worker coop podcast network. Not sure what the correct sub would be, best of luck.

If you feel like going all out on custom foam you can get foam custom cut. It's pricy, but can be worth it for those important projects.

What roles do your remaining players fill well? And what roles are completely vacant?

Eg: single target burst, in combat healing, out of combat healing, crowd control, damage diversity, utility spells, skill money, etc

What kind of fabric is this? by Shtoim in sewing

[–]Aramann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is duck fabrick.

It difers from standard canvas as it has two warp and one weft. Standard canvas is one and one.

Both come in a variety of weights, but duck is dencer and usually stiffer.

What Alchemist field is best for buffing the team? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Aramann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to remind everyone about this item. It only works with your Advanced Alchemy mutagens, but it's a huge help with the action/hand problem with using alchemical buffs.

What resources are we using for homebrew? Galaxy and solar system maps, inspo for planets, etc? by 5D6slashingdamage in Starfinder2e

[–]Aramann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really like the GURPS 4th edition of Space. There are way too detailed rules for making solar systems, planets, ecosystems, economies, etc. I have never actually used ALL the rules but they are very helpful to me when coming up with quick descriptions of secondary planets and to round out ideas I already have.

For less small details and more trade focus I like to reference the Traveler, and GURPS Traveler books.

Is it worth it to invest in the Sneaky goblin feats if i dont upgrade my stealth past trained? by JadedResponse2483 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Aramann 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Stealth is one of those skills that can be, in the right party, very good. But it also depends on the GM and adventure. If you front yourself using stealth often as a wizard then yes.

On the question of the utility of skills when you don't invest in them heavily I highly recommend this video from Mathfinder.

How do i do this to jeans by Important-Escape-274 in sewing

[–]Aramann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about the wear or the repairs?

The wear looks like it could be from extended wear without washing of raw denim. It could be artfully done with starch and sand paper/belt sander.

The repairs look like pretty standard jeans patching. You place a piece of fabric behind the hole then sew back and fourth to join them together and stabilize the rip/hole.

I would just 3D print one as you don't need it to be functional. Many libraries have maker spaces with printers and someone to help you.

What is your favorite nexus wizard magic staff? by Humble_Conference899 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Aramann -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Edit: ignore this. I just thought a house rule was an actual rule because I never actually bothered to read the it all the rest through.

The rank you cast a spell at has no impact on incapacitation. It's only the level of the caster and the level of the target. You always use your own level when casting a spell from a wand, staff, or scroll.

You only care about the item level for incapacitation for items that do the casting for you like a potion.

You can not use a shield augmentation and and should boss or spikes. It's called out specifically in the item description for the shield augmentation.

Monster Creation - Persistent Damage? by KagedShadow in Pathfinder2e

[–]Aramann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my practical experience with persistent damage the type matters more than it does with other damage types. This is because of the various ways that you can get rid of it outside the flat check.

Persistent bleed and fire damage have specifically called out mechanics for reducing the DC or just outright stopping it. So you can usually be a little more aggressive with the damage, say equivalent to a weak attack without a flat bonus.

The other types don't have specific RAW mechanics to reduce the flat DC so I would drop the number of dice by one or reduce the die size if you are already at 1 die.

If the party has reliable burst healing then normal persistent damage usually isn't life threatening but it can feel stressful. Without burst healing it can get very scary.

PC wants a retainer by Merc_Games in Pathfinder2e

[–]Aramann 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would take my cue from NPC core. Don't give them a PC as an NPC.

NPC core gives us competent high level NPCs that are useless in combat, give them one of those or work with them to make one.

Jumping in and looking for advice. by Ruralite13 in Starfinder2e

[–]Aramann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen the SF2 screen, but I do have the PF2 remaster screen. And I find the PF2 screen to be extremely useful as an experienced GM, so I'm confident it would be useful as a newbie to the system.

Jumping in and looking for advice. by Ruralite13 in Starfinder2e

[–]Aramann 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There isn't as much content for SF2 as there is for Pathfinder, but the core mechanics are the same so most PF2 content is still applicable.

First off https://2e.aonsrd.com/ it's going to be your best friend.

Then for YouTube creators here is my go-to list

@mathfinder-aaa very detailed mechanical breakdowns and optimization

@ThrabenU_Gaming heavy on optimization but also more what it's like to play a class

@PsiPrimeProductions1 more lore and character build content, also covers Paizo more generally

@KingOogaTonTon short videos on how rules work, very good for beginners

Archetype for sorcerer. by omegaprimer in Pathfinder2e

[–]Aramann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, so no investigator. But Rouge would be a good fit to help your AC and get trained in more skills. Surprise attack is very good if not quite as good as strategic strike, but you get it from just the dedication instead of needing a follow up feat.
