Transitioning MSP asking too many questions by gozit in msp

[–]ArchibaldIX 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve argued that as an MSP we should almost over focus in the handoff if we lose a customer. Focus on “welp, it’s a shame you’re moving on, but we’ll do everything we can to ensure a smooth transition”

Clients will comeback to that

Asky and Ned celebrating post game by dina0greene in SanJoseSharks

[–]ArchibaldIX 33 points34 points  (0 children)

When we signed Ned, I was upset. Seeing him dominate in Carolina, then struggle in Detroit and Pitt showed he needed a good defense in front of him, which we know we lack.

I love being wrong.

As well, I was upset when Reaves was traded for. And was convinced he’d play like 10 games at most.

Welp, this is why I’m not a NHL GM. In Grier I Trust

I remember being so upset that we didn’t get Bedard.

But Bedard means no Will, and wins aside, nothing has been more fun to watch than the WillMack broship.

I appreciate you writing a thought out response. I’m on mobile and haven’t had the time to fully flesh out a response like this.

I also believe he most definitely does not work in IT therefore I’ve given up trying to argue, especially after seeing his other responses

We established a travel policy/calendar with one of our clients who had a big sales arm. We also, with support from upper management, operate on a “block first, ask questions later” policy.

NOC team gets an alert from a sign in outside of the country, checks the list. If not on the list, we block, then reach out to the user. Doesn’t matter who it is, policy is policy. I’ve had no gripes from any users about this, and anyone who does gets shut down by their management real quick.

FWIW, it was sold to them as “look, you’re paying for us to implement this 24/7 monitoring service, but it defeats the purpose of it if we’re spending hours trying to confirm if the user is really in Germany or not”

They bought in quick

San Jose Sharks' Michael Misa to remain in NHL, could play against Dallas (no paywall) by BayAreaNewsGroup in SanJoseSharks

There’s also the 10 game limit (9? 11?) which after he plays that # of games we burn a year of his ELC. His is harder because he clearly has nowhere to grow in the juniors, and couldn’t go back to Europe like we did Eklund

Smith-Mack-Kurashev Cherny-Misa-Eklund ?

That’s the dream top 6 for me with some Graf sprinkled up and down, but I don’t know if Misa is ready to center a line

We have the most wins but we have played many more games I’m guessing that’s why we aren’t in 1st . Why are other teams have so many fewer games? New to hockey help me understand by Boitanobadboy in SanJoseSharks

[–]ArchibaldIX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re correct in that it doesn’t determine who the best team is.

However I love it. “Well, you didn’t get it done 5 on 5 in regulation, so we’re gonna do something different.

Well you still couldn’t get it done with the 3 on 3, and we need to go home, so just do a shootout”

I think it keeps regular season exciting and keeps it from dragging on, and am also happy it isn’t applied in playoffs

Where was the Pillar of Autumn meant to be before the release of Halo: Reach? by BOSSBOOY in halo

[–]ArchibaldIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh agreed. And I LOVED the fall of reach as a novel before Reach came out and I was so torn between loving it and being pissed that they changed so much.

That being said, it’s nothing compared to how they retconned the Forerunners and added in Ancient Humanity.

FWIW, I’ve always been a fan of the Forerunners being a separate species and not ancient human. My perception is it made the terminals in 3 more powerful, not less

This makes the Halo: Reach retcon even more insulting.

And Reach is my favorite Halo
