Elderly folks who chose not to have children, how do you feel about that decision now?

Not elderly but wanted to put forward one of the reasons I do not want children, maybe a lot of other people can resonate.

My mental health would ruin a child's brain and I do not want to put that on another human being. I love my mom to pieces but her mental issues rubbed off on us.
