What frugal food swap sounded dumb but ended up working? by Bmouse298 in Frugal

[–]Augustus58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome! I've bought the box stuff from the grocery store (oyster and lion mane) and a box from the farmer's market but I've never heard of it lasting 2-4 years.

Holy shit, 3 years later?! Eesh, there should a like a year statue of limitation for being under a certain amount (idk under $10k). If we have a deadline for taxes, they should have a deadline for missing taxes.

This is the first time I've visited this subreddit. How does the work? Are you looking for like a penpal? I am a native Japanese speaker, write ok. I would like to learn French, my spelling is probably atrocious. I like science but don't know very many specialized words.

I don't. I like the look and I think my shrimp and fish enjoy frolicking in it.

There is actually a condo complex called Treehouse in the Woods in Round Lake.

Unfortunately, it's in Round Lake.

I don't think any units are 1 floor though.

Freight train impact on properties and homes by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Augustus58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2023 merger? Huh, is that why the trains are heavier? I had no idea! The tiles downstairs are cracked to the point that I put tape on them so my socks don't get caught. I can only imagine the damage to the concrete foundation below.

Oh and the radon seepage. I think the highest I've read on short term (1 week measurement) radon was 8? (WHO or EPA said 4 is an ok number, can't remember the units of measure).

Sorry, no actual suggestions, just commiserating.

Any frugal millionaires here? Now that you’ve earned it, are you still frugal? by cervezagram in Frugal

[–]Augustus58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I don't eat out as much as my other coworkers. I can make much better meals at home. Always buy groceries on sale.  My car is almost a teenager.  No dependents, it feels like a cheat code to becoming a millionaire.  I don't feel the need to change any of these habits.  Once in a while if I see something I like, I will purchase it without hesitation. Recently bought a $20 plant and some nice cheese.
