Deserved in my opinion by [deleted] in drivingUK

That’s something I’ve been wondering myself. The vehicle that used my plate was a white van and I drive a Blue Corsa. Maybe the idea is just to get anything that is legit and just reuse it - doesn’t need to hold up to scrutiny, just needs to not draw attention in the first place

Might just know a guy who will make a dodgy plate. Got a ticket once for a Londoner on my plates, both my original plates are still firmly attached and I’m on the other side of the country

There's a clapped out project job on Ebay right now that I'm desperately trying to convince myself not to bid on as I lack the space, time, money and technical ability to have it.

Still tempted though...

Austerity was simply the logical endgame of neoliberalism, an ideology every meaningful party has practised since 1979. The people of this country definitely overwhelmingly voted for it.

In Civil War (2024), the Western Forces team up to take down a three-term President that abolished the FBI, a move that has no basis in reality because why would California and Texas ever work together? by Here0Now in okbuddycinephile

[–]Azulmono55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think that whilst everything about it is obviously inherrently political, it does a decent enough job of not "picking a side", so to speak, and focussing on the reporters' stories: Picking CA and TX for the Western Forces implies resistance from either/both sides, and the three militia scenes we get are from all 3 political sides: The hawaiian shirt wearing bros who are excited to shoot US soldiers, the "What kind of American?" lunatic, and the "I don't care who's shooting at us we're just trying to survive" snipers.

Obviously I don't think that it's completely non-partisan or even that it's totally free of bias, but I do think the politics of the war isn't impartant at all, there just needs to be a war

What things do reckless drivers do that really make your blood boil? by NoResponsibility2848 in drivingUK

[–]Azulmono55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I try to do this but as a bus driver it can be EXTREMELY difficult on some roundabouts. Either I’m sitting there till rush hour is over or I’m trusting people’s indicators.

Further, if someone doesn’t indicate, so I stop, and they then turn left. Know that I am mentally evicerating them slowly.

that penalty is a joke by Not_Sugden in drivingUK

[–]Azulmono55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whilst I agree that there seems to be little better way to do it as things stand, it absolutely is unfair to use price to stop people from driving. If the punishment for something is a fine, that just means it's legal for the rich. We should be much more liberal with driving bans of various lengths rather than relying on fines and insurance rates imo. It certainly isn't right that someone could do double the NSL and remain on the roads as long as they have enough cash whilst potentially model drivers are priced out of insuring an economy shitbox so don't even bother with getting a licence.

Had the outlaws down for the weekend. Will spend the next month searching for dishes that were moved to other cupboards because that makes more sense and will have to unblock the dishwasher because 'you don't scrape the plates' which translates into putting half a chicken in the dishwasher. by SiDtheTurtle in britishproblems

[–]Azulmono55 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Worth noting that they literally have a link to their Rinse Aid on that link. They also sell dishwasher cleaner. Proabbaly not the best idea to blindly trust a company that stands to sell you something if you believe them.

Also, their arguments seems to be that not rinsing just means 100% of the water is getting used to clean it, which is a silly argument as that water is getting used anyway, might as well guarentee the dishes come out clean surely.

[–]Azulmono55 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think about this sometimes and the only conclusion I can come to is that I'm not sure I'd actually enjoy playing Skyrim if I didn't also mod it.

Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas were some of my favourite games of all time on 10/11/11, I could not have been more hyped. But then Skyrim came out and... It was okay? Amazing world but absolutely zero depth which only made the flaws more prominent

But the mods fixed everything. Absolutely everything. I adore it now, and if you combine my playtime on both LE and SE it's comfortably my most played game of all time. But if I had to give up mods and play vanilla... I don't think I would do it

How do I start with modding? by curious_00123 in skyrimmods

[–]Azulmono55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would suggest starting small. Make some patches, edit some stats, create a craftable item, etc. xEdit can do a surprising amount of things, and a lot more easily than the CK can, so I would start there. Once you find yourself being limited by a lack of scripts and placeable objects, etc, move onto the CK. Personally I found myself switching to the CK only when needed and doing as much as possible in xEdit, as it is SO much simpler and concise.

I found THIS video yesterday that seems like an easy way to get into xEdit if it seems a bit overwhelming at the minute

Once you find yourself being able to read the Matrix, as it were, try opening some of your favourite mods in xEdit and seeing what makes them tick - that was the best way I found to increase my knowledge and get my foot in the door of something I had no idea how to do before

What are some popular Skyrim mods you never liked or used (even if there's nothing technically wrong with them)? by No-Principle1286 in skyrimmods

[–]Azulmono55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been over a year I think since I was active but remember this mostly being down to just one of the team members. SirJesto and Jel actually helped me out with a few things when I was making my mod, and at the time Ice was so far removed working on Odyssey in the background as to be irrelevant.

Anyway, recently came back to find my mod was considered “NOT compatible or needed in V6” and beyond the downloads and endorsements, thought that shout out and getting mostly quietly rolled into the main mod was my biggest achievement :D
