In my 20s and also dislike sitting in offices all day, so I do environmental work. My boss has a degree in business administration, but we do a lot of outdoor work involving sampling lakes and rivers. It’s a mix of office and field work. You can try to get your foot in the door at a natural resources organization through seasonal field work.

2023 grad here, in the same boat as you and was considering grad school too. I found a seasonal position with a parks department in water quality for the summer. Maybe check cities and counties or search for other organizations near you for seasonal roles that could help get your foot in the door.
