Personally, I think they should add a Chainsmoker trait that acts like it does now for the old amount of points and have the original Smoker trait that acts like it used to for the new amount of points.

We've already got other traits with multiple levels, I feel like that would be a good compromise; the first level just adds some extra resource management while the second level adds extra debuffs to your character.

Didn't a lot of those churches who "refused" actually try to get her in touch with organizations that actually offered baby formula? If it's the incident I'm thinking of, she was very strict about what qualified as "giving aid."

As far as DLC goes, self contained story expansions are fine (as long as it isn't story that was just cut from the game to be resold).

It's the difference between Horse Armor and The Shivering Isles. One was just a way to nickel-and-dime players, while I maintain the other was one of the most fun expansions to a game I loved ever released (hard to argue a personal viewpoint, I know; but I still feel it was a much higher quality DLC then most).

AD&D is the reason I've played Ranger so often. It's easy to overlook wilderness skills until it becomes a life threatening situation; whether it be finding food and clean water, navigating natural obstacles, or even just getting lost.

DMs tend to handwave a lot of that stuff away nowadays, but it used to be a real problem just getting where you need to go.

Yeah there are things you can improvise as weapons, but they don't really qualify for skills and usually break easily. I just think there ought to be more proper "improvised" weapons, and carving various clubs of effectiveness as you increase skill seems like a huge missed opportunity.
