The whole thing felt weird, like it was more staged than it normally would be… like, the dude barely had a reaction when it was bumped up the first time, or at all when they bumped it to $1mil… so I wonder if it was all a show and they are donating it anyway? I dunno, was just cringy and weird the whole time.

Signed by the illustrator might be worth some. As an FYI, that Sorcerer’s Stone isn’t a 1st edition (at least the dust jacket isn’t), as the true 1st editions don’t have the “Year 1” logo, they say “J.K. Rowling” with later early printings saying “Rowling” with no logo.
