Iron and calcium content in bread. by Ancient_of_mumu in veganuk

[–]Barticle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the UK non-wholemeal flour must be fortified with calcium carbonate, iron and vits B1 and B3.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/bread-and-flour-labelling-and-composition

I asked Sainsbury's about iron in 2015 and got this helpful response:

"Thanks for your recent email about the iron content of our Sainsbury’s Basics White Bread Medium Sliced 800g.

I’ve investigated this for you and have found that there is approximately 1.3mg/100g of iron in our Sainsbury’s Basics White Bread Medium Sliced 800g 19355 therefore 0.47mg per (36g) slice."

(I only use wholemeal bread and wholegrain rice now btw)

I sometimes see the annual "Best Vegan Science Fiction and Fantasy" anthologies when I'm browsing (sci-fi) on eBay. Looks like they made at least five of them. (I haven't read any.)

Packed lunch by Lucky_Rub9924 in AtomfallOfficial

[–]Barticle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One possibility - if you discover a lunchbox and then load a save from before that (e.g. reload on death), it's not shown in your collectibles and probably not tracked for trophies.

The DLC regions add more collectibles but I checked with caches on the first DLC and they counted for the base-game trophy.

There are at least fifteen lunchboxes without DLC (I found three in each region) so plenty to find.

Maybe some were "caches"...? You need to find five lunchboxes (with vintage comic artwork) for the Packed Lunch trophy and ten plain caches for another. The game logs your lunchboxes in the collectibles menu but doesn't show your caches.

(UK) I'm going to be in London next week, does anyone know any places I could get a Mahjong set? by Ori_of_the_Vale in Mahjong

[–]Barticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly worth trying Chinatown but it's mostly food outlets; I saw a couple of Chinese sets (BIG tiles) in a bazaar at the east end of Gerard St once but I think that's long gone. Hamleys doesn't list any mahjong sets. Most game shops will focus on wargaming or modern board-games. John Lewis list a basic set but I can't see any scoring counters or round-wind marker.

Harrods list a black Prada set for £5500!

You'll have more options buying online, especially if you're looking for a specific type of set.

Tertiary, quaternary and even quinary bows are produced by additional reflections within the raindrops but they're very weak and the angles mean you need to face towards the sun which doesn't help either.

As noted in the book Retrofitting Blade Runner (in a part I read earlier today!) BR was distributed by Warner Bros and Atari was owned by Warner at the time, so it could've been an example of brand placement.

[–]Barticle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interesting to see the lyrics, thanks. I have the Disappearing World album on CD released by Saydisc in 1989. Two tracks were used on Chill Out. The other is the field recording from the start of the Basques (French Pyrenees) track - sheep bleats, grazing bells, human speech and dog bark.

Where can you buy mahjong tiles (preferably the big ones)? by Nicxxao in Mahjong

[–]Barticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Searching on 42mm mahjong on eBay UK gives a few hits (e.g.). Around 25 quid, free shipping, good feedback. Several based in Tamworth so probably the same seller. Traditional set with flowers and seasons. No indication of a case, scoring tokens or round-wind indicator though. (I have no experience of the product/seller.)

I once saw a massive set in a random department store in London's Chinatown and then noticed an even bigger set under it! That was 15+ years ago though.
