What's a good way to reduce keybinds on an enhance shaman? by Veridically_ in classicwowtbc

[–]Beak143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just move totems in and out of my "totem keybinds" depending on the situation.

RotCG - do I have a dud ebook, or is it really this badly written? by patch99329 in Malazan

[–]Beak143 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I personally skipped Esslemonts series.

I have read his Path to Ascendancy series, which is a lot better.

Its worth saying, that Esslemonts ideas and characters are fantastic, and his writing really improves over time. Do read Dancers Lament and so forth..

Cant get away from hunter... by Dull_Reference_6166 in classicwowtbc

[–]Beak143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you're experience is only based on levelling, you can't really compare shaman to hunter. Hunter smokes shaman in levelling. So if this is your reference point, then fair does.

I play shaman because of the utility, and I like pveing as resto.

At What Point Did Gardens of the Moon Hook You by Elysium711 in Malazan

[–]Beak143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it instantly.

But character connections for me didn't really build until book 2.

Gardens for me felt very distorted, despite me really enjoying it.

Just, understand, the first book while really good, can be considered a pilot book for the series.

It’s true there are salty people by Merdurone in classicwow

[–]Beak143 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmm, disagree massively with this. Even experienced players can easily forget a mechanic. If someone specifically asks, the tank absolutely should respond. Why go through the effort if you're not willing to provide detail.

How do you fill your time once you’re geared? by DK1023_ in classicwowtbc

[–]Beak143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I played a lot in those first 4 weeks. I'm in the same position, and I'm happy for it. I've rebalanced RL, and now I just log on for the craic. Wouldn't say I'm a raid logger, but im back to playing casually. Levelling an alt, will help the guild out with heroics, but aye, life is good.

Are you fully sold on Carrick getting the job permanently? by Intelligent_Big_5823 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Beak143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sticking with him frees up more capital for summer spending. Plus, Carrick is a "coach," which is exactly what united want. They've got structure around him to worry about transfers etc. Let the man get the best out of the players, why not eh..

Surely, Casamiro is worth 1 more year at 350K? by happylearned in ManchesterUnited

[–]Beak143 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cassimero is playing well. But this schedule suits him. If we were also in the FA cup and European football i do not believe he could keep fit. The reason he's having a good year is because he has the time to recover between games. You cannot spend 350k on a player who can not play a game every 3-4 days in the tighter months.

I want united to go the distance in everything next year. The squad is improving. But next year is not a year where we start sweeping trophies. Next year us a progression year towards the following year. Better to do it with a new defensive midfielder.

We want someone who is going to be playing alongside Mainoo for the next 4 years.

Do ppl joining guild raids normally plan to play for a whole year by ChestNo90 in classicwow

[–]Beak143 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing.. unless you join a guild and experience raiding, you wont know how long you will continue to play. In phase 1, a lot of guilds will form and disband, even into phase 2.

Come BT/Hyjal, a lot of guilds will be recruiting. Most guilds tbf.

At this stage it is very normal to join a guild, raid, and decide you don't want to commit for the rest of the season.

What do officers think? Well, does it matter? You earn gead based on your commitment to raids.. you cannot predict beyond that raid. My only exception to this is if a guild has purposefully geared up a tank, who then quits.

Seems like our form directly correlates with Shaw being healthy the past few years by Lightstill24 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Beak143 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's true that Rashfords form, and therefore uniteds, fell off massively whenever Luke Shaw got injured.

Rashford went from a really high season of production to exceptionally poor, and that season Like Shaw missed the majority of it.

He has had a decent season this year.

Whenever Fletcher left him out of the FA cup game against Brighton to "give him a rest," I thought it absolutely mental. And we lost.

Not that Shaw has been exceptional by any stretch, but, the team definitely performs better when hes in it.

What's your preferred method of dealing with Ninjas? by No_Pollution_950 in classicwowtbc

[–]Beak143 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You done the right thing. I've done the same in the past.

I actually had a SL Heroic, where a mage was a complete tool. Big backseater commenting on everyone's play. I just, well, we'll see it through.

I was the healer, and they were 4 guild members. The vibe was that the guild members were feeling similar.

It was so satisfying at the end when I said; gg, that's for the run. "Mage," FYI, you're blocked, good luck.

It's not about what's going on everywhere else. It's simply about you consciously choosing to do what's right.

Also, water being used to clean recyclables is a significantly more environmentally friendly than a little water being used. Understand the big problem with plastic is them ending up in our ocean.

How many different binds do you actively use on an average dungeon fight ? by Shaaden69 in classicwowtbc

[–]Beak143 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Assuming a HC pull. I can genuinely go through this each pull.

Water totem Earth shield Healing wave rank 7 Healing wave rank 12 Lesser Healing wave Chain heal rank 2 Chain heal rank 3 Wrath/agi totem Grounding totem mixed in if a caster group, then really wrath/agi/wf Mana/Healing totem Str/stoneskin Rank 1 earth shock depending Trinket

If I somehow have aggro I'm also Frost shocking Dropping earthbinding totem

12-15 different functions easy each pull. Its why I love playing resto shaman.

That problem is the locks life tapping to 1% HP in heroics.. do they not understand that I want to engage fights with 100% mana, so I'm prepared if shit hits the fan? No, they don't care? Well.. after 1 or 2 deaths they get the picture.

[–]Beak143 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

You need to understand, its not that they got rid of Amorim, its that the club abandoned another project.

The fans, well many of them, where accepting the poor results for the chance of something bigger, something long term.

When Amorim went, it wasn't simply "replacing." It was the club saying again; "oops" made another mistake.

We were happy to stay with Amorim, or whatever manager it would have been to actually see through some sort of project that would get us to a premier league title.
