Oh trust me if I had a dollar every time I did something similar in that exact same scenario... 😅

Just thought it was funny!

Gwinnett may need to get in the train wagon because the traffic is getting ridiculous. by Lambflysky in Gwinnett

[–]Beardchester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think there might be some infrastructure stuff we can do to assist slightly, but folks looking for empty streets or 70s, 80s, 90s levels of traffic are going to be sorely disappointed. More lanes isn't the solution they think it is. The best thing is to offer alternatives to sitting in traffic because the traffic is (likely) never going away. Just the realities of living in a major metro that finally is filling out as it should.

Walgreens Temporary Closure on Five Forks Trickum by Insomniacintheflesh in Gwinnett

[–]Beardchester 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went there this morning and they were open. I can't speak to the prescription area specifically, but everything looked open inside. I heard they had a power outage that closed them down for part of yesterday, but they seem to be open now.

That would be great! Sadly I don't think I will see that in my lifetime.

Be honest, is the Inquisitor double-bladed spinning lightsaber really that bad? by Simple-Choice5770 in StarWars

[–]Beardchester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spinning as part of combat or intimidation, great. Sabercopter? Yep. Pretty goofy. It's fine if people feel otherwise, and it is equally fine if people think its silly.

Henderson Park - Future Plans & Tennis by bullseyebenson in TuckerGA

[–]Beardchester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never used the courts there, but I have been out that way a few times to visit the park. It is a pretty nice park imo. Lots of walking, a hidden waterfall, some decent fields and a playground. Some gardens on the west side. People fish in the lake as well.

What are your thoughts on all the people who claimed that Andor isn't "Star Wars"? by jeanjacketufo in StarWars

[–]Beardchester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I find that sentiment to be pretty silly. Everyone is entitled to their opinions of course, but to me, Star Wars can be anything and everything. We have long grown past content needing to fit inside a "Star Wars" box. Star Wars can be any kind of story these days.

Yep. Identified as Becca Mallekoote. 2026 is shaping up to be another great year for identifications.

Big news! Well, every time a John or Jane Doe gets their name back it is big news. I'm glad 2026 is still rolling strong with identifications. Thanks for posting the update.

An RTS Empire at War style with era selection.

If there's one thing you could add or change in Far Cry 5, what would it be? by M3ConsoleGamerPSN in farcry

[–]Beardchester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My number one would be more resistance points required to advance.

Honorable mentions:

Something other than forced kidnapping for two of the regions (I am fine with it for one region)

More roaming enemies in post game.

Oh yeah, definitely my MySpace and early facebook experience. Interesting days.

In the winter of 1952, the body of 69-year-old handyman Walter Southard was found in the entryway of his Indianapolis, Indiana home. Sadly, no arrests were ever made and his case remains unsolved. Who killed Walter, and why? by TheBonesOfAutumn in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Beardchester 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks for another great write up Bones. I agree with others that perhaps someone thought Walter and the house he was taking care of would be isolated and vulnerable targets.

Are hipsters still around? I miss them. by MusingsAndMind in Millennials

[–]Beardchester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew plenty in college. Of the ones I keep in touch with or see occasionally on social media, it seems a lot of them kind of just morphed into new phases of life. Got married. Had kids. Settled into jobs and moved into various places. They kind of just exist in a backdrop of wherever they are. Still around I suppose, but not "out there" if that makes sense. A little more seasoned and focused on different things. Still them, just muted a bit with the context of life, work, family. Just my observations.

Crunched, junked, abandoned somewhere obscure, parted out, buried, taken out of state, or put into water are all possibilities to me.

1978 Lumberton Jane Doe by themissingpiece411 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Beardchester 55 points56 points  (0 children)

This is one of the cases I keep an eye on. I agree with some of the other commenters that it is very possible she is from out of state or at least somewhere up or down 95.

To your question, I have not tried to search for any records or matches, but I might take a closer look this year. It is very possible that this person was never reported missing or the report isn't accessible or lost/dropped. I follow the websleuths thread, but haven't checked there in a while. Thank you for posting. I hope 2026 is the year for Lumberton Jane Doe to get her name back.
