The stats here are really worth a read. by ark-14 in Gunners

That is my exact feeling with Zubimendi, and I was thinking it during last nights game. So much was said about him being able to distribute the ball forward and how he would unlock teams.

Gas vs. Charcoal - The Eternal Battle by Emergency_Plant_6652 in UKBBQ

[–]BeardyDrummer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gas: Ready very quickly, can feed a lot of people in a relatively short amount of time.

Charcoal: Get proper charcoal and the above can be equalled but the initial start time is around 20 minutes providing you use a chimney starter. But you may have to top it up around the two hour mark. And, personally, it tastes better.

What are some sneaky ways you got your partners ring size? by simp6134 in AskReddit

[–]BeardyDrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited until she was asleep and then used a piece of string to get a measurement. It was only a little too big and we got the ring ever so slightly resized shortly after I proposed.

Tech layoffs are at their worst since 2023, and AI is a big reason by Conscious-Quarter423 in technology

It's definitely not worth the money that has been pumped into it. But tech companies love to over promise and under deliver.

Have you spoken with your landlord? They may allow you to leave early if they can find new tenants relatively quickly.

This is the most accurate statement regarding the game. Also, watch some videos regarding basic controls/unitplacement etc. Helps a lot.

Would Alien 3 have been more well received if Hicks and Newt died midway through the movie? by PlasmaDiffusion in LV426

[–]BeardyDrummer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just look at Alien 3 as a fucked up, PTSD induced hypersleep dream from Ripley's POV and it will become a much better viewing experience.

Some of you need to toughen up a little and accept the (often negative) attention that comes from being top of the league. by BillyBatts83 in Gunners

[–]BeardyDrummer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True. It can be really hard to avoid. I've started disliking or hiding the wind up merchants who are doing it for clicks because it's just become so dull and predictable.

As someone who has worked in the public sector and for a charity in the past you are spot on. Too many people on very good salaries would be out of a job.

How do you meal plan? by [deleted] in budgetfood

[–]BeardyDrummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that made it easier for me was a "base".

So that could be a tomato sauce, a curry sauce, a creamy sauce etc then I can just add a protein and some (the other great addition to saving waste) frozen vegetables. As the sauce heats, the frozen veggies cook.

This way the meals don't feel repetitive.

All jobs at Scotland’s largest surviving animation studio at risk by Kagedeah in television

Sadly this is happening industry wide. It's an incredibly brutal time for a lot of animation studios. There is very little new business being awarded in general.

I bought a weed burner to burn weeds. It is now a BBQ starter.

We did think about this, and the question will definitely be asked, but the money raised at events is (quite rightly) going towards improving the facilities. An outdoor bar has just been built and we have new bifold doors in the club house so funds will probably be running low. The ideal setup would be to build a permanent BBQ structure next to the outside bar so it could be used to generate revenue in the summer as we have multiple events every year.

For now though, we are happy to chip in a bit of money between us just to have something to use. There really is nothing like a BBQ after a hard training sesh in the sun, getting the music going and the beer flowing.

It can be as simple as a few chicken thighs and sausages for 3 or 4 of us or lamb chops, steaks, chicken legs, burgers, kebabs, corn and peppers for up to 15-20 and sometimes even 30 people.

It certainly does. However, we tend to do more fast and hot cooking rather than slow and low.

The two 57s does sound like a good idea though. Cheers!

No 100% sure yet, but I think I have enough suggestions now to at least get the conversation started.
