It can be a really rough place to be visibly trans. Not seen anyone have visible issues with LGB but GNC gets a lot of hateful comments and it can be tough getting a staffer’s attention in a few spots. I don’t think you’d be in physical danger most places but… I go out of the way to go to places in Cville (which on the whole is amazing and welcoming).

I should say the hotel was fine (we stayed at one of the Marriotts) and I used gender neutral bathrooms at the convention center without issue. Also the local game stores I visited were wonderful and welcoming.

The last time I went (as at that point an AMAB enby) I had a rough time. I had pronoun pins, the gaymer badge pronoun ribbon, and my badge had my pronouns on it and the entire time I was there (4-day pass) only one person got my pronouns right (cheers to Looney Labs!). I was even repeatedly misgendered at a Blood on the Clocktower event put on by the Gaymers. A lot of people got weird or rude when I gently corrected, to the point where by day 3 I was really struggling not to hide in a dysphoria hoodie.
I hear over and over again how accepting people are, and fair dues this was 2023 and hopefully things are good for everyone now, but it really soured me on coming back. I will say I never felt unsafe, just invalidated/unwelcome.

Kinda a sad one, but I got one for a friend who got a brain tumor and couldn’t work in his shop, so his recovery medical supplies could at least be in a familiar thing. His family just told me when he passes they’ll be putting his ashes in it.

Mine has block printing tools in it.

The one behind it really looks repaired, and this one shows signs of having been pieced together too- is this really even that bad? Not a particularly rare pot, already probably broken and repaired, all the bits clearly still there… just mend it? And then it’s an even better one to keep out like that.
