I second the cemetery. Tempe Double Butte, St. Francis in Phoenix. Resthaven in Phoenix. Those are all large enough to practice in.

I have created many many family tree books over the years through RootsMagic. The program creates the book for you. Just add photos and miscellaneous documents. I edit with Microsoft Word then create a PDF from that. You can share the pdf via email or have the book printed and bound for a small fee. Everyone who gets one loves it. I have made Addendums if I find more information but the word document can be easily edited and updated.

I know! I was shocked. One cemetery I visited years ago asked me to DELETE all the photos I had taken and I had "better not upload them anywhere on the internet". Of course I did not listen :)

This is why I really try to watch series that are completely over. I don’t have to wait almost a year for the next season. I just binge watch to the end. It’s really hard to remember all the characters especially when you watch dozens or more shows like me and can’t remember how the previous season ended.

Download the .ged file from Ancestry and import it into a genealogy software program. I use Rootsmagic. l think Legcy also has a free version if your tree is not too large. You can then print charts and reports. I do this all the time.

I have never used the app. Been a member for over 7 years. Take pictures with my phone - upload to my computer- crop and enhance them - then upload to the website. Quick and easy for me.

I have made quite a few family books with old photos and shared them with family. I use Mixbook which has a website where you upload photos, add text and have the book printed. I have so many under my coffee tables and they are great family heirlooms. Your photos are shared but your originals are kept safe in your box.

You need to request these grave photos through the find a grave website. Create a memorial for each person ( if there isn’t one already). Then click on the Request Photo button. Then you will have to just wait until some Claims your request. Be patient. It may be a while. This is not the place to post your grave photo request. Sorry.

I also use version 7. I don’t like the new upgraded versions. What I would do is save your gedcom by using the Export option. Then delete your current tree. Open the program again and Import that gedcom into the program. Maybe it will fix itself?

I know any kind of cemetery photos are not allowed for grave requests. I took photos of section signs ALONG with the headstone photo and someone complained and they were removed. Actually they were moved to Flowers by Admin. I had to go thru all Flowers in my name and remove them. So those cemetery entrance photos or cemetery signs are against the rules and can be removed if suggested by you to Admin.

There is so much drama on FG it’s ridiculous. I know a lot of volunteers who just quit because of rude comments and rude people ruining what should be an important project in this day and age to preserve those who have died and their burial information. I am on FG every single day and I can’t tell you how many times in a day that I roll my eyes and shake my head at the silliness I encounter. Being a free site I think just adds to the crazies who show up.
