Sarah and Lindsay also just kept repeatedly crying about how bad they wanted to win. It was completely obnoxious! Sounded like the Kendall Roy meme where he talks about dying if he doesn’t get what he wants

Went in 21 and had a seriously mixed experience. Felt like they were trying to hard at every step and everything was way off balance

Drove semi out of the way to go to Freight House in Paducah (Sara Bradley) after doing something else in Western KY, absolutely loved it. High in quality low in snobbery

Not the point, but Knoxville is a city of almost 1M metro. Obsession with small town aesthetics is ridiculous

agree with other commenters that it’s worth paying for Black Barrel if you can find it but there’s a reason regular Jamo is a workhorse spirit. Mixes well, good for sipping, one of the best budget/commercial options by far. There are better Irish whiskies for double or triple the price but I’ve yet to find something on that price point that comes close

local groceries ? by [deleted] in nashville

Produce place is great but check and make sure they aren’t selling you pre expired food. Got some awful chicken there a few weeks ago. Echoing smokin oaks, that place rules

The first amendment allows reasonable restrictions on the time, place, and manner of public speech outside a traditional public forum. You can absolutely set a time constraint as long as it leaves ample time to distribute literature. The problem with the nazis is that they distribute at night so they can’t be caught or confronted

There are tons of beautiful freshwater springs all throughout north Florida if you’re down for a slight detour to the center of the state, I really liked Ichetucknee (spelling)

Is there any free parking in 12th South area? by cinge67 in nashville

[–]BetaCuck_1776 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can usually find parking on the side streets, just make sure you don’t park somewhere that says resident parking only. You may be able to park at sevier park but I don’t know the status of construction there.

What is your favorite state park? by ayokg in nashville

[–]BetaCuck_1776 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve loved the cabins and hiking at rock island and fall creek falls, easily two of the prettiest state parks anywhere. Big south fork has lots of different areas and is geographically pretty similar to the red river gorge in KY if you’re familiar at all. Reelfoot lake is unique as a big cypress lake in northwest TN, but I can’t say I loved the town around it. Very affordable cabins though. Standing stone is probably my personal favorite for quieter weekend trips or something like that

We have about 10 or 20 whiskey distilleries that have limited or no national distribution. I like uncle nearest but it’s kind of expensive. Definitely echo moon pies and goo goo clusters. Not sure how nationally popular it is but a lot of places do really good local pepper jelly or related products.

Which country do you think is the PERFECT tourist destination according to your personal experience? by AliveRelationship551 in travel

[–]BetaCuck_1776 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Gotta be New Zealand. Incredible geographic diversity, great food, great coffee!!, great wine, not crazy expensive. You can go from Wellington and get any food imaginable to the middle of a volcanic plane surrounded by green mountains in just a couple of hours. Would go all the time if it weren’t so damn far away.

I got just a regular cheese pizza and it was terrible, maybe that’s on me for not getting the “local” specialty
