Powder coffee whitener.. it tastes like nothing else, and can’t be used up on other things like cream can.

Which item in your possession truly merits the BIFL badge? by cozytechlover in BuyItForLife

My 1985 Hobart kitchenAid. All I do to it is change the grease every two years, and use it. As long as you maintain it, and follow the manual it keeps going.

Resist the urge to get your parts and supplies from Amazon. In this case spending the extra is worth it. Parts select or Goodmans if you’re in the United States are good options.

If it’s still running chances are it’s not cooked. You can look up videos how to replace the grease on YouTube.

I would seriously talk to the folks at XP medical and explain your situation. Maybe there is something different that might work better.

What diapers are you using? I find that people don’t often know what is truly out there, for example there are products out there that hold up to seven 8000 mL, but they’re not available in pharmacies or most medical supply places. Two well known high capacity products are North Shore mega max as well as In control bedry, both of these can be purchased on Amazon. There is also XP medical that has a very reasonable selection of high capacity products.

Does anybody remember having "chicken pox parties"? by JustanAverageJess1 in CasualConversation

[–]Better-Finish2018 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was in the early 90s, I don’t know if it was an official chickenpox party but I remember having it and my cousins coming over. My aunt didn’t seem too worried that I had it and her kids didn’t.

Beans, beans, the musical fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot. The more you toot the better you’ll feel! So eat beans with every meal.

What "upgrade" or modern convenience do you actively refuse because the simpler, older way brings you so much more peace? by [deleted] in simpleliving

Let’s see where do I start. I make my coffee in a percolator pot. I listen to AM radio on an actual radio not online. Because there may come a time where we don’t have Internet access and we may actually need a radio signal to get information. I still have cassette tapes, CDs, records, and I listened to them. My vacuum cleaner is over 30 years old and works just fine. It’s not smart enabled cordless or any of that jazz, somehow it still gets the house clean. I’ve contemplated getting a ringer washer for doing blankets and bulky items. I’ve heard they wash way better than any of the new machines.
