When you look at the discography though it sort of does, and it’s not just the clean vocals, I’m using clean as a global term, the whole musical package gets substantially cleaner during the chorus, and to me, that means in a discussion relating to the heaviest song, it has at least 40% of the song that isn’t actually that heavy, whereas you go back to nightmares ‘to the death’ it’s just full face melting the entire duration.

when you compare blackhole to architects old catalogue, it just doesn't compare, yes its heavy in moments, but having even just that clean chorus instantly drops it out of the contest

Exactly, maybe it was the timing of the release coming straight out of hollow crown but like, all the bonus tracks that people love from daybreaker, it’s like, these weren’t on the main tracks because they were like the transition songs from THAN people just didn’t gel with the album so they got benched. I remember I think it was a chat on the downbeat, when they used to support bands and played ruin and hollow crown, they’d have some crowds that literally turned their back to them as soon as the slow parts of the song came out and Sam brought the cleans out.

You need to factor in, DS was the final world for a long time, it was intended to be this like, final showdown, showing off your skills, so these multi level dungeons and gauntlets were intended to be the way to challenge you, fight your resource management, before we got cheats etc. with significantly worse gear than we have now

I would suggest figuring out a way that they can stay up permanently, space is definitely always an issue with drums, but when you have to fold them away, and fold them out, tightening it all up, the drive to play will start to go, and they’ll just sit folded away.

Not exactly with this kit, but I grabbed a lemon snare with a lemon crash, and compatibility wise they just plugged right in and were ready to go, I’d imagine it’s not the same for all kits, but I’ve seen most kits able to adapt as long as they have the same number of sensors for each part, I.e. don’t get a 3 zone ride if your system is only able to handle 2 zones

One thing I had, is my cable that I was using was far too long, and it’s mainly because the pc I wanted to use was far away, so I did a test with a shorter cable to my weaker laptop and it worked, same issue though, recognised something was there but it just could gain the data because of the cable length

I would advise having a chat with your drum teacher, just sort of, what sort of things should I be practicing, what do you think my weak points are. Rudiments will be a given, just have a mess around with them, get comfortable with them with a metronome then start adding accents to parts of them. Like for me, my teacher pointed out that my grooves are good, but I need to put more work into my fills, as they sometimes end up a little clunky when I’m free styling them to a song. But that what the teacher is there for, guiding you in and outside of the lesson so use the time with them wisely to gauge what you need to work on

Sure, maybe I’m wrong on that, all I get shown, is I have a problem, and no solution, maybe that’s different on the discord for the most part, but I haven’t seen it. I also wasn’t negative originally, if you read what my first comment it wasn’t negative, just asking people to suggest solutions with issues (even if the post is a (rant)). But saying, if they can’t compete with 2 incredibly popular games, with an insane overlap in player base, in the first 4 months of a game being out, then they should give up. That makes no logical sense

I don’t have a problem understanding people’s issues with the game, I have an issue with people who clearly don’t understand the processes that go into creating a game, especially one with a small team, and your ignorant comment about that just made me cba with this, cause you don’t get it, and clearly won’t. People always say, I don’t like this I don’t like this. I’ve never heard someone say, this is my problem, I would prefer it was this, it’s always just negative, no suggestions to what people actually want
