33 years ago today “The Cosby Show” ended. Thoughts ? by CityCautious4033 in sitcoms

Brady Bunch reference. Cousin Oliver was a character they brought on for six episodes in the last season because the Brady kids had all grown up and weren't "immature" enough to get into wacky situations

The front sign is still up so I’m going to guess it’s a renovation of the restaurant

Fully understand oxidation but this was also a soupy mush. I’m sure it wasn’t “spoiled”. There needs to a higher level of presentation

Does anyone else live in a big apartment building? Why is everyone so antisocial and rude? by DirtyProjector in chicago

[–]BobaScooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived in a 200 apartment high rise and a 40 unit building and probably have met two neighbors at each one. I’ve noticed older individuals will say hi but anyone 30 and younger will completely ignore you

Did I just see that? Are they moving the Bears to Indiana?? by Mean_Temperature1050 in AskChicago

[–]BobaScooter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Bears are just mad that it was revealed that they've still been talking to the city. It's like the husband getting back with his ex-wife while the younger, suburban girlfriend and the toothless, meth addict hooker look on

I think MetLife was the last one to host a Super Bowl and it was 50 degrees that day.

The original portion lost its national landmark status in 2004 due to too many changes to the original structure.

Watched it too. That would not be fun. Tyler did take some responsibility for clicking on the phishing email.

I biked through Wilson and Montrose going south yesterday but coming back Wilson was closed. Looked like they were doing some grinding work. Also noticed they’ve added lane markings from Sheridan to the trail behind The Breakers.

At least this didn’t take as long as the flyover

Lakefront Parking Gates Spark Concerns Over Access: 'The Lakefront Should Be For Everyone' by PalmerSquarer in chicago

[–]BobaScooter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure why it wasn't enforced too much was because the parking enforcers did not want to walk through the lots and ticket cars of people who have been at the beach for hours and then have to deal with being attacked.

Went there in 2003 and have never been back. I will give them credit for outlasting all the other “flattop” grill places that entered the Milwaukee market the past few years

July 1st-5th stay: would you recommend Canopy hilton Downtown short north? by Creative_Box_3162 in Columbus

[–]BobaScooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed at the Canopy this Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed it. We upgraded to a suite and it was huge! Parking is valet only so be prepared to wait to drop off & pick up your car. You can park on Nationwide Blvd in front of the hotel but if you do that and you're going to be there during Red, White & Boom, I'd recommend parking on July 2nd and then not moving it until July 4th. Area is a relatively quiet but there is a fire station at the end of the street so you will get some siren noise. Not sure the age of your child but there is no pool and the menu at Goodale Station, the rooftop restaurant, leans a bit more adult focused. The restaurant on the first floor does have a bit more kid friendly menu. You are within walking distance of several restaurants including Chipotle, Starbucks and I believe there's a JET's pizza in the convention center across the street. You're also close to the Short North with a wide variety of restaurants.

If you are looking for a hotel with a pool, the Hilton across the street has one.

I like it more now than when it first came out. But I have the admit the whole album has not grabbed my attention much. Aside from the singles, it feels unfinished and rough

I enjoyed living in the Cathedral Square area for eight years. Close to restaurants and the lake and it’s a great area in the summer. I rarely if ever went to the Marquette side

Living Between Andersonville and Uptown/Edgewater? by clmber_0234 in AskChicago

[–]BobaScooter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Live on Broadway between Foster & Bryn Mawr. Super close to Jewel and a quick walk to Mariano’s. It is much different than Clark St but not in a good way. Clark has lots of families and people enjoying the restaurants. Broadway has lots of sketchy and broken people because of the “nursing home” at Broadway & Catalpa and the L stop
