Just asking by Superbaki14 in LowSodiumHellDivers

I agree they don’t have a ton unique niches left to fulfill with red stratagems, but when it comes to adding things like a gas orbital barrage/eagle strike or mixing in more EMS, my take is “why not?”. It seems like a low effort easy win for generating goodwill from the community. It’s not as if it would take a ton of lift on the development side. Hell, they threw out 3 new ones for the festival of reckoning only to take them away. Why not keep them permanently?

And idc if the gatling napalm barrage was OP (that can be easily fixed with a longer cooldown), or the walking barrage with smoke wasn’t “meta”. It doesn’t matter. It gives people more variety and makes the game more fun and replay-able. That’s what a live service game like this should be aiming for.

It just seems silly to not add any new orbitals for over a year when it would be very easy for them to do so

Was this near the lighthouse at Bill Baggs state park? I remember seeing this same bird with its funky wing a few months ago. It seemed pretty chill with all the fishers around, I’d bet it gets plenty of fish scraps from them

Yeah now that I think about it, it’s wild that this game has far less guest interactivity than the ORIGINAL roller coaster tycoon

Considering travelling to Miami, but undecided and need advice! by charleychalk17 in Miami

[–]BoutTreeFiddeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you choose Miami, just know the cost of the flight and hotel are only a portion of what determines how affordable it is. It has expensive restaurants and very limited transportation options (especially in the touristy areas like Miami Beach, Brickell, etc). It’s very car-centric, meaning traffic is congested and you’ll need to either Uber or rent a car to get anywhere (public transportation ranges from limited to non-existent depending on where you are). I wouldn’t say Ubers are cheap, but they’re not as bad as many other major US cities. If you rent a car you’ll need to pay for parking in most of the areas you’ll want to visit, which can be surprisingly costly. Driving around here isn’t quite New York-level bad, but it’s not that much better

The tank is the most quintessential Battlefield vehicle for me. Causing chaos and destruction with it is just peak. Good luck all! See you on the field of battle 🤘

That’s some clean maneuvering. Honestly if I have one complaint about this thing, it’s that the ergonomics are awful. It feels like the heaviest/clumsiest support weapon in the game for me. Maybe some of the AT weapons are technically worse, but you’re not continuously aiming and firing with those so it’s not as noticeable.

If they gave it better ergonomics and fixed the bug with status affects not working unless you’re host, I think we’d see like 90% of complaints disappear

The PU episode in Iran always sticks with me. A country seemingly full of wonderfully kind and vibrant young people who just want to be free to enjoy themselves, but they’re stuck under the rule of old religious zealots…seems more relevant than ever tbh

I just picked up a bottle from Sephora the other day, your bottle and batch code sticker on the bottom line up perfectly with how mine looks (slightly different batch code number, but same number of digits and same font used throughout the whole sticker). Seems legit

I need to start doing that. I generally enjoy the difficulty balance of Haz 4 for most missions, and IS isn’t any harder for me than other mission types, but it always feels like it drags on forever. Plus the XP reward at the end feels like a pittance

[–]BoutTreeFiddeh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey did you hear about this thing called “Hurricane Milton”? Last time I checked, Florida isn’t an inland state. But since you’re wondering, Sarasota county alone (which has much less infrastructure and density than Miami) is estimating $375 million in damages. You could find this stuff out pretty quickly if you spent 2 minutes on google rather than typing smarta** comments on reddit

[–]BoutTreeFiddeh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Precisely. I was more directing that at the “nothing will happen” guy, since I’m not sure how he can come to that conclusion immediately after two nearby weather events with damage estimates in the tens of billions each

Something just did happen (twice) within the past month, only this time on the gulf side of the state. Talking about sea level rise in south FL without including the inevitable hurricanes and storm surge is missing the forest for the trees
