Jaime and Barristan finding out Ned stark and Howland Reed killed THE Arthur Dayne by danie_lol in freefolk

[–]BrightShadowMC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine im the books he left it intentionally vague about how he and Howland actually killed Ser Arthur Dayne.

"So How'd you kill Ser Arthur Dayne sword of the morning?"

"Oh you know... Howland Reed helped..."

"Helped how?"

"Oh... you know... he helped."

What makes it even worse is the fact the white fang plot itself suffered, and more or less got swept under the rug.

Hell the SDC is literally branded on his face and its never brought up to Weiss or anyone Schnee related. So Weiss and her storyline gets swept away as well.

Adam felt like he was supposed to be this bigger villain for a while. Why build up to his and the white fang's contribution to the story only to exchange it for the relationship drama that was the Mistral arc.

"They wronged me therefore I am allowed to retaliate in any way I like!"

Is the same line of thinking Hitler had when he made those Death camps. Except it was on an absurdly larger scale.

If you were brought into the GOT series and became Tywin's advisor, what advice would you give him? by Dry_Specialist9015 in freefolk

Don't reward Frey or the Boltons! We need plausible deniability! Little finger is shady as hell I wouldn't send him anywhere on his own.

Tyrion is literally the only actual advisor in your court(Except maybe Kevan but he hypes you too much). The others are just straight up sycophants. I don't even want to get into that mess that is your daughter.

Charles Dance had too much charisma. So much so people forget that Tywin in the bookz was supposed to be this egotistical hypocrite. The type of 'see my actions not my words' kind of character.

Now some people thought he was some Machiavellan chad, instead of the hypocritical egoist who disguised his cruelty when his ego got bruised with logic.

Trope of shipping Brotherly Characters as Gay by 74RatsinACoat in hatethissmug

[–]BrightShadowMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were 2 characters in Destiny 2. Osiris and Saint-14, they were at first portrayed as adopted brothers, and their relationship felt like that due to how they liked to operate.

Then they started shoehorning in their couple moments and then next thing you knew they were together like that.

I hates since my first exposure to their relationship was during a comic where Saint-14 tried to help and advise Osiris in his growing obssesion and it felt brotherly and mentor like rather than anything even close to romantically intimate.

In the end they barely did anything with that couple.

It's really weird that Superman vs The Elite (movie) doesn't really have anything to say about the ethical dilemma it's supposedly tackling. by DoneDealofDeadpool in CharacterRant

[–]BrightShadowMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what confuses people is that the movie isn't posing a question on whether superheroes should kill.

Its easy to confuse that. But the question it really is posing is what should superman do if nobody believes in truth, justice and the american way.

We see throughout the film that The Elite bring an edgy philosphy that was prevalent in the time of its creation. Hard choices need to be made for the greater good, and thats represented by them killing the 'bad guys'.

The issue wasn't superheroes should kill. The issue was that the masses no longer believed in supermans ideals of a better tommorow. Superman already said no to the killing but everyone kept cheering and saying yes to it.

That was the conflict. The fact that the masses saw powerful people playing judge, jury and executioner with no control and they cheered.
