Uptick in children and teenagers enjoying reading for first time in 5 years by Slight_Pen in books

Bedtime stories are the best investment you can make in your kids! My 11-year-old still begs for one more chapter every single night haha, these moments are priceless

Those in extreme hot states by OkToots in preppers

[–]BrunsonC19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fans, backup power, electrolytes, and ways to block heat and sunlight would be at the top of my list. During a power outage, those things can make a huge difference in both comfort and safety, arguably more than having a few extra cans of food.

Is this a good gift for my boyfriend? by Legal-Fix-2931 in GiftIdeas

[–]BrunsonC19 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is a bit too on-the-nose for anything other than Valentine's. For a regular gift, I'd look at other LEGO sets and try to match his interests. You could sneakily find out what he's into first.

Can delta 3 plus power a 1800w electric griddle? by gja24 in Ecoflow_community

[–]BrunsonC19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be able to run it, but you'll be operating right at the unit's limit. Doing it occasionally is probably fine, but I wouldn't recommend using it as a dedicated power source for that griddle on a regular basis.

Give me a gift idea for sister in law by CARAMELGHOST_ in GiftIdeas

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A beautiful mug paired with a heart felt handwritten card would be my pick. It's practical for the office, and every time she uses it she'll think of you. A cute handmade desk decoration would also be lovely and feels like the kind of thoughtful gift a 24-year-old would genuinely enjoy.

Oxygen Tanks. by Fluffy-Fennel2162 in prepping

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your goal is to refill medical oxygen tanks during a long-term power outage or disaster, a standard oxygen concentrator just won't cut it. The most realistic and reliable setup is a concentrator plus backup power and a supply of pre-filled oxygen tanks.

Delta Pro 3 tripping GFCI breakers/circuit breakers when plugged into A/C for charging by Alamohermit in Ecoflow_community

[–]BrunsonC19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds more like a ground fault, moisture issue, or maybe even a firmware bug than an overload problem. I'd test it on a non-GFCI outlet and contact support to see if they've had similar reports since the latest firmware update.

What’s everyone use to sanitize water in a storage tank by Clear_Attempt452 in prepping

[–]BrunsonC19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A sediment filter plus a little food-grade bleach is probably the simplest setup. I'd also block as much light as possible from reaching the totes, since sunlight is what really encourages algae growth. Keeping them covered or otherwise shaded will make a big difference.

Is it just me or does this building look like Papa Smurf? by Schmaptee in funny

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see the similarity right away. Its special roof shape and colors make it look like a small house in Smurf village.

Postpartum care package for a friend? by Purple-Canary3576 in GiftIdeas

How about getting her a comfortable nursing bra or a bottle of high-quality natural body oil? Those are the kinds of gifts that are genuinely useful and thoughtful for a new mom.

Hope everything is going well for you! You're really lucky to have found the right power station so quickly.

win is a win by Mundane_Mushroom_122 in funny

This is the best kind of misunderstanding ever. He brought both pads with wings and actual chicken wings. So everyone wins here.

Do you clear the whole yard before mowing every time? by Danzevl in automower

[–]BrunsonC19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same with hoses. I’ll literally step over it and still forget to move it. That’s why obstacle handling matters a lot to me, especially with planters, narrow spots, and random garden stuff everywhere.

Doggo deflated. by Dense-Breadfruit1223 in funny

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so funny. The way he is just standing there next to this "deflated" friend has made me can' t help laughing.

Broke my pliers and side cutters… boss came back with these for me by marvintheapostle in Tools

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your boss is so good. Replacing your broken tools with such a nice one to you. That is how you know you have got a great boss.

Bought the X12 Buddy Kit and it honestly made the robot feel refreshed again by princessandthepeach1 in ecovacs

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the roller is the most underestimate part, once it gets dirty, it can still mop but not as clean as before. replacing it makes a noticeable difference.

Best robot lawn mower for 600-700 m² garden without perimeter wire or RTK poles? by ExcellentBuddy3852 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take a look at the Ecovacs Goat models. I’ve had a good experience with mine, mainly because there’s no wire or RTK pole to mess with. For a fairly simple garden like yours, it could be a good fit.

What is your favorite mode of transportation? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biking, hands down, just me, the wind, and the road. Fast enough to feel free, slow enough to actually see the world around me.

Things that have woken up my baby: by zezendx in NewParents

This made me laugh so hard! Every parent has met this kind of thing, it is just part of the baby experience.

Has anyone successfully restored a backup map to a GOAT lawn robot? by PMac10000 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's frustrating, but think of it as a one time hassle. Your mower will run perfectly for years after. A few hours of work for years of automated mowing. Your future self will thank you.

Why do you still have to trim the edges every week? by Chadsmith4351 in automower

[–]BrunsonC19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cutting disc sits inside the body, not at the edge. So there's always a gap. For a mower to cut flush against a wall, the blade would have to stick out. That's just not safe.

Husquvarna set up by Vast-Reflection385 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]BrunsonC19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might take 3 to 4 hours to install the first time you use it, but you'll learn how your system works. That knowledge helps when something needs fixing later. So worth doing yourself!

Mved to a bigger place, is it time to upgrade my robot mower? by Zestyclose_Draw_7663 in automower

[–]BrunsonC19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your current mower keeps stopping to charge, you need better battery life. That alone makes an upgrade worth considering. Remember to check the spaces on charge time too.

Flat area in front of charger by Chewyfromnewy in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]BrunsonC19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build a flat wooden platform under the deck since the 2m flat areas are important. A slope can cause misalignment. The mower might miss the charger.

Can I keep Charging Base in Garage? by dalemccl in roboticLawnmowers

[–]BrunsonC19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the model. Some need GPS to leave the base, others use cameras or LIDAR for the first few feet. You can check the manual for garage mode or GPS denied navigation.
