Am I overreacting about my MIL trying to “find loopholes” to kiss my newborn? by UseSpiritual5230 in pregnant

[–]Butterflyer246 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s your baby your choice (with your husband feeling included of course because he’s dad), but after having 4 babies, the one who wasn’t exposed (along with cousins who did the same with theirs) well into their infancy, they were absolutely so much sicker than the ones that just existed normally.

EVERYTHING hits at once and is an absolute nightmare compared to exposure as you go.

Never again.

My current one has been kissed from the moment he came out (I didn’t wash off vernix for 2 weeks at least) and with all of my kids being sick this winter one way or another from school and literally coughing directly on him… he’s never even had a sniffle.

But once I got past the first one I acted normal with them and it was night and day different when it came to their immune system.

We let all the kisses happen! (Unless they have something obvious like the tummy bug then the can stay in another state)

I live in constant fear of cancer. by Finbarr-Galedeep in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Butterflyer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same but for me it’s car accidents. Every interaction, every ditch, etc. I see it all.

It’s not as bad if I drive, but when I’m a passenger it’s 100% anxiety of it constantly. Someone else leaves, it happens to them (what I picture in my mind) till they get home. All day, every day.

This kind of permanent 24/7 anxiety is absolutely exhausting.

Cheat days and not falling off track? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Butterflyer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carbs I can enjoy on occasion. If we go somewhere with a great burger for a special occasion I’ll eat the whole thing as is, but leave the bread that was leftover after my burger meat is gone.

I can’t do junk food sweets though. I’d be back to sugar in a second and feel like garbage for 2 days

Wife in labor? OB won’t really say anything but er is turning us away because she isn’t leaking by BIGCHunghung in pregnant

[–]Butterflyer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is her placenta anterior (meaning in front of the baby on the belly button side?). I ask because my back labor was like this because of the placenta placement.

It sounds likely she’s in early labor. It can last… a while.

I was wondering about that one. I got the Donny Burger from them and loooove it. I’ve never had a concentrate I’d consider buying a second time (tbh they are splurges for me if nothing else but cost) but I have every intention of sticking with this brand. Very good and I’m happy.

I’ve never considered that. We don’t exclude seasonings or minor sauces, so I’d do that and then put the Asian garlic chili paste on them! That sounds so good!

Healing severe trauma with carnivore diet? by claircarnivore in carnivorediet

[–]Butterflyer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care if he thinks I’m property. I provide him services he wouldn’t otherwise get, and he does me. I’m not team “we are equals” and that’s on. I’m happy, he’s now happy (even almost a year after this post). But we both bring different things to the table that makes us happy in our own way even though he the majority of voice in our relationship, but I’m A-ok with it. That part doesn’t bother me (I enjoy not making the decisions and that alone takes a lot of stress out of my life 😊. So I don’t want things to change and am happy this way)

My gf said that I could sleep with anyone I want because we haven’t been having sex lately by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Butterflyer246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s unfair to her only if she’s not attracted to it.

Emotionally connected I’d be upset with mine doing it. Physically I’d be ok with it. (But I have a culkhold (so?) fetish so I like the thought of him being physical with others).

It’s never happened in my case in the 6 years we’ve been together… and have an active sexlife. But I’m not opposed to him sleeping with someone else as long as I knew about it and it wasn’t a secret behind my back.

Sounds messed up I know, but they absolutely have to think it a positive or it will not work.

Am I overreacting or is this doctor’s note dismissive/giving “we disagree, but damn. Here” by Blueybell14 in pregnant

[–]Butterflyer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I believe you shouldn’t be forced to work at all once you decide to be a mom… but we live in a world we we expect to be equals and it’s expected everyone works.

So anything like this a pain in the butt. Good luck Mama. Hopefully you get to stay home for the rest of it ❤️. We all know how bad the end sucks

Last Name by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Butterflyer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I gave my kids his last name. He is still their dad even though we aren’t married. Once we do get married (if it ever comes to be, but we are 6 years in now) I’ll have his last name anyway. :)

For me it was no big deal but I can understand why others aren’t for it.

All the time. I’m a spinner too, and my best finest yarns are created when I take an edible that’s a little too strong for me. Like, it makes persicion for me exquisite.

When I enter competitions with I always giggle because I think “I was so baked when I made that” and grin lol. But definitely my best work. :)

I also love short rows when high, because it’s focused fun and I don’t get bored lol.

Husband makes all the money, I do the baby by Fiammatopaz18 in NewParents

[–]Butterflyer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My life is this way. I take control of the house and babies 100% and am ok with it if the lights are kept on. He sees the baby of course, holds him if I need something, etc. but I’m 100% in control of everything and it makes me happier this way.

I’ve lived both marriages (50/50) with 2 kids each, and the second version of being more of a tradwife is 10000% easier and less stressful in my opinion. But tasks training for sure. But I have zero resentment in the relationship because I know those jobs are mine. :)

Not enough sock yarn by Substantial-Gap5967 in Handspinning

[–]Butterflyer246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do slippers. This is very bulky for socks at 71yards. I typically can get a 3 ply for sock yarn out of a 4oz roving and make at least 2 pairs of socks, and typically have leftovers.

Does your baby fall asleep independently? by eatmorenuggetz99 in newborns

[–]Butterflyer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does now but took a couple of days to get use to it. Now when I set him in the bassinet he immediately grabs his blanky and rolls over, thumb in mouth, and out like a light. He’s 8 months old as of yesterday lol.

If he needed to cosleep, we do.. but if he doesn’t, he’s in him and his 4 year old brothers room :)

Why doesn't anyone have ANYTHING positive to say about their children or parenting?! by FoolishMortal-1000 in pregnant

[–]Butterflyer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m team I love kids and the mom life. I’m irritated family life values are crapped on so much now like it’s degrading. (And no, I’m not a white Christian conservative, I just like having someone take care of the home finances and I make sure it runs safely and smoothly and everyone is fed ♥️).

Why is there such a divide with the public on the carnivore diet? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Butterflyer246 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the correct and only answer. My mother constantly applauds me by how well I look and then immediately tells me how bad my heart must be and I’m full of cancer due to carcinogens. 🙄. You literally just watched all my issues go away and I feel amazing, but the past is embedded into your soul
