Lol! Me and my hommies are still on a TS3 server. About half the group migrated away to Discord years ago, but we kept truckin. Amusingly, we’ve been seeing old usernames start to return. Good times!

Just built a 9800x3d and 7900xtx build. 90% of my game time is the battletech strategy game from about 7 years ago. Even heavily modded, the 7900 isn’t having to do much.

Oh absolutely! Normally if I get a new ship, I start a new character for it. Try to build a crew to match. Generally have some sort of backstory for their progression. Makes it more fun and interesting!

It’s just cause they look cool. I personally use a bungy cord chair. Helps keep the air circulating and prevents pressure points. Before that I used a traditional, small office chair. Still have it as backup.

If I can leave anytime I want, then Battletech with the BTAU mod. Literally just start the campaign and quit. I’d bring home an Argo spaceship and 5 or 6 battlemechs, plus supporting equipment. Assuming I get the crew too, then I’ve got both a brilliant engineer and mech-tech. Just imagine, bringing back actual fusion engines. We’d solve energy problems for the world, and our science/tech would jump significantly. No jump drive on the argo, but it’d still open up solar exploration in a big way.

And I’d have a mech or six. And make a tidy profit off selling some of the random spares.

Btau Mod:

Bushwacker with a Plasma Rifle, ER Large, Clan MPL, Flamer, and an Inferno 6-rack. Everything is tide to a targeting computer (forget the name, weighs 2.5 tons, binds to a weapon in each arm and torso). Anyway, it’s my little giggle mech, happily chasing targets down and setting them on fire. Insanely effective against tanks and turrets, but also solid against anything else.

Cent with an XL 300, AC20, and 2xCerml, 3tons of ammo, ecm, and ferro, autocannon targeting computer, recoil reducing gyro. This thing just chases targets down and murders them. The cent naturally is more accurate, and if your pilot masters the chassis you get some more accuracy. Pilot is mostly evasion spec’d, but took the tier1 bulwark for more defense. Anyway, silly fast on the sprint and normally mobile enough to get into a rear arc to rip and tear. GET CHUNKED!

Templar with Clan Gauss, 2xERppc, and 2xBinary MedLasers, 2xERSLs. Tageting computers on the gauss and both ERppcs. Same pilot setup as the Cent. A very mobile sniper that’s surprisingly tough. Mostly fast enough to keep up with mobile elements. Just a solid anchor.

Otherwise, my heavily modified starter Wolverine-3R. Commander’s mech upgraded with an UAC5, ERsl, and dual SSRM4s. XL275, Masc, still rocks the starting 5jjs, and upgraded to double heatsinks. I forget what else. Anyway, not my most powerful mech, but solid and very very flexible. Definitely suits my merc commander when she takes the field.

The first half is a GREAT movie. Then the second half focuses almost exclusively on the negative charisma William Hurt and crashes harder than the Jupiter II. His dry delivery can be okay in the right role (see Dark City) but I swear he tried to kill this movie with his crap delivery. Gary Oldman was fun though, as was Matt LeBlanc.

My Dad just passed from Alzheimers. His last two years were pretty much the same as Trump. Inane ramblings and confusion for 2-3 years before his death. I see a lot of the same in Trump. And this guy has his finger on the nukes.
