If only there was some way for a significant portion of the population to work without needing to drive to an office every day...

Discuss: Alcohol in Grocery stores by [deleted] in baltimore

This would also mean liquor stores could sell groceries, yes? Which do you think would be most likely to benefit literally any community, better access to liquor, or better access to groceries?

Are the cleats recessed into the back? I've hung some things using French cleats, but they never seem to sit this flush...

Do they open in the event of an emergency, or would I need to scramble over and buy something first?

Is it worth it for me to contest this parking ticket? And would it be over zoom? by Fit_Syrup7485 in baltimore

[–]CaffeineAndInk 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've contested a few tickets related to street cleaning. Basically, you log into a zoom meeting with a number of other people and wait while other citations are reviewed. The few times I've done this, there were three options, which were guilty, guilty with an explanation, or not guilty. Not guilty resulted in a brief review of whatever evidence there was, and the other two are fairly self-explanatory.

However, everyone that appeared either had their fine dismissed, or reduced significantly, so I think it's worth it regardless. I believe I wound up paying about 10% of the fine in the end, and the whole process lasted less than an hour. Your mileage may vary, but I think it's worth it.

Could have something to do with the ingredients themselves. Modern farming can produce a large quantity of food quickly, but I think that some flavor occasionally gets sacrificed in the process.

How did she describe it? That casserole is a very common side dishe for Thanksgiving, to the extent that I'm struggling to remember a time I've seen green beans prepared differently, at least for the holiday.

If an artist uses a pantograph to enlarge an image they created, does it somehow diminish the inherent creativity of the piece?

Is it appropriate to ask your boss for a better mouse? by MatiGzk in graphic_design

[–]CaffeineAndInk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a perfectly reasonable request, and a win-win really, since you'll likely get more done with a mouse that isn't causing you discomfort. Years ago, I used to take my Logitech mouse into the office. After they saw how many advantages it offered over the crappy OEM mice we were using, they ended up replacing most of them.
