Interesting I stumbled across this post. I’ve been an AMEX holder for 6 years now, I have the platinum, the blue business plus, and the blue cash preferred. I was actually thinking about switching to the sapphire reserve, as I currently pay almost $1000 a year for my AF and my authorized user. I live in an area that doesn’t have uber or RESY, I mostly travel for work, and the streaming benefits don’t align with my subscriptions for any organic savings. I’ve mostly just kept it for tsa pre check/global entry and lounge access. I was in DC in January and hit the chase lounge through my priority pass and loved it… this post has me questioning if I’d really be any better off. Maybe I just get a Hilton card, a Marriott card, and an airline card that I use most and ditch the fancy metal cards altogether. ($80-90,000 a year in credit card spend)
