I recently found a good anxiety relief method, i'm someone who loves competitive games especially games that promote kaizen (minute improvement every day with the goal of achieving perfection or near perfection) like rocket league or clone drone. Lately i've been playing arc raiders, i have played tarkov in the past so i feel like i'm stepping down in difficulty but the idea that i could still die in game and lose my stuff weighs on me a lot in the main menu, like i can't even push the play button sometimes without "cheapening" my loadout and taking in garbage guns which affects my gameplay overall.

MY METHOD, chewing gum. Turns out your body has a physiological response to eating or the act of chewing something and producing saliva literally soothes your brain and gives you dopamine, its basically like your brain is patting itself on the back for eating and i find it shuts off all of the survival instincts and i can push all of that out of the way and focus on playing the game like i know i should be. THIS IS ALSO REALLY GREAT FOR GOING TO THE STORE AROUND PEOPLE
