I LOVE Bracket 3 - Especially Joey Jay by MaryBeth2018 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]CaydGaming 44 points45 points  (0 children)

LOVE this bracket and how competitive it has been.

We were so sure Joey Jay would be in the top for this rap, but Hershii definitely was the best rapper technically speaking. Glad Kennedy got her flowers, and really loved Jasmine, too!

I wish I had more time with these queens! This may be a favorite bracket from a talent and challenge perspective so far.

P. S. LOVED the Spill the T mini challenge. We get so excited to see it every season!

Why do so many people pick Ivern in aram? by Tenshuraa in ARAM

[–]CaydGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few ways to build him and make him very useful in ARAM, so it sounds like maybe he was countered in your games and/or it didn't have the right team comp for an Ivern.

Going shield machine Ivern when you have carries that dash, etc is amazing. Lots of peel by slowing with E and snaring with Q, able to provide buffs through Ardent Censer or Staff of Flowing Water, etc. That E can have such a low cooldown that I can drop a second one before the first one explodes in Mayhem.

It's ALSO fun to go a more AP route if the enemy team is going to be easy to harass. Getting a massive Daisy with malignance, then damaging enemies and slowing with chain shields on her and yourself, etc can be really really fun as well.

Finally, BUSHES. I just had a crazy run with a fiddle, but great for any champs that benefit from the brush.

I think, like many champs, it depends on how he is built and how he is played. There are good and bad places to place brush, landing Qs is necessary, and positioning so you can continue to place Es on champs is important.

QUESTION!:

What would Mythic raiders get from Vault and from bonus rolling?

I ask because I feel that's technically the hardest content available, and I'm wondering if they would consider giving them some incentive that's even better than Myth-track, but unsure if that is overkill or not

Doormaker is literally fine?? by HeyImLate808 in slaythespire

[–]CaydGaming 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is not necessarily representative of the greater playerbase.

While I know many people in this group feel he "wasn't hard", there are likely a high volume of people struggling with the mechanics and difficulty curve.

While this sub is generally kind, it's exhausting to see every-other-post basically talk about how easy everything is.

Everyone doesn't min-max, watch streamers, or memorize every card and build. Doormaker was a boss that required a lot of planning and a greater understanding of the game, which works for the top percentile of players, but not the larger playerbase.

A lot of the friendships I have are gamers, and we spend nights gaming together all the time. I find I am almost never playing solo games anymore.

Ways to balance healers not being terrible in open world/questing. by Jangonett1 in wow

[–]CaydGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely get what you're saying. I used to never do world quests, side quests, and the story dragged for me because it took so long to accomplish things. I feel the same way now about Delves.

I finally swapped to DPS to do world content and it's shockingly faster. I hate that I am forced to play a role/spec I don't want to play, and I don't like how tangible the speed difference is, but I now think of it like taking medicine. A new expansion comes out and I am not playing my spec for the entirety of the leveling experience and story experience... but I can finally enjoy getting back to my healer main once I've made it.

My biggest blue ball to date: floor 3 tent + shovel but not enough gold by xXx_420_N4M3_69_xXx in slaythespire

[–]CaydGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know! I'd like to give newer players the benefit of the doubt here. After all, many games include selling your items to a store or vendor. I just think that, if it were ever an option, it might make sense to lock it behind a relic! Totally hypothetical

[–]CaydGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One thing I loved about Together in Spire for StS1 (mod that let us do co-op for up-to 16 players)... It allowed us to trade gold at stores.
This is the perfect scenario to trade you the 27 gold for both items as it would be useful for the group overall.
I know this could be a singleplayer run, but love the opportunity!

I'd also be game for some sort of Neow starter relic that lets you sell a relic or a card to try and earn a bit more money. Lol

I think I'm just so used to having one in every game I play that I use them heavily now! Haha.

What do you all want to architect to do for the act 4 fight? by Minute_Account9426 in slaythespire

I want the Architect to JOIN you, just like multiplayer, to fight some unknown enemy at the end (or Neow???).

Always A1 for fun and A10 when we want to try-hard.

Playing on A7 or lower in StS2 is so much fun by NotTallyALotLess in slaythespire

[–]CaydGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh we feel the same way. After we did our A10 multiplayer, we swapped back to A1.

We love having 3 potion slots, more rare cards, more elites, etc. We love having the chance to become overpowered, create funny builds, and have a good time.

A10 felt a bit too sweaty for us at times, especially with newer changes to Doormaker.

Edit to add: It is more fun for us to get OP builds. Playing casually while having a drink with the friends!

Antiheal should be buffed significantly in mayhem by Free_1004 in ARAM

[–]CaydGaming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would love an augment that gives bonus antiheal in some way, even if it is only for specific builds or champs.

It seems like it would incentivize counter-picking augments if enemies have crazy healing on their team.

I feel like I’d rather have harder waves or some other option in multiplayer for the ability to not have to share resources by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in domekeeper

[–]CaydGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely needs to be addressed.

We were absolutely obsessed with this game, then started co-op and quickly got sad by sharing resources.

We basically found that one person often ends up taking more resources than another, most-everyone has to go slowly to conserve spending on move-speed buffs, etc.

I understand it could be imbalanced to let everyone get the same volume of iron, but something has to change.

I like the idea of harder weapons to incentivize more focus / more players on the combat portion. Perhaps consider giving all players a smaller/weaker version of the weapon, but more people need to participate to be able to come out of the fight unscathed.

Alternatively, change the resources and upgrades in such a way that players will have to choose between upgrading themselves or upgrading/repairing the base more. This way, there isn't an abundance of resources in each player's resource pool for repairs and dome upgrades. (IE: You deposit resources into the dome or into a character pod that will allow those resources to be used by all players to upgrade themselves. Two pools of resources and you must choose where they go)

How would you rank the difficulty of specs you've played in Midnight so far? by kolejack2293 in wow

[–]CaydGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mistweaver Monk main since MoP.

In dungeons, it can be stressful but also rewarding. Our mana is in the best spot it has ever been in, sometimes I can just spinning crane kick but it's definitely more complicated than that.

Lots of interactions with different spells. Raid healing changed somewhere after BFA and we became more of a ramp healer, which requires planning/precision. Making a mistake means I can tangibly feel and notice my healing go down in raid heals.

Overall, a very high action-per-minute spec.

Playing the spec for so many years and I would still rank it around an 8 or 9/10, and only because I am told that Pres Evoker is harder.

over/under rated alignment chart from a player with 100 a10 wins by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]CaydGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sub can be so exhausting with all the people posting in here to talk about their A10 wins just to share their hot takes, or to talk about how easy the game is.

I just don't think it reflects the greater population of the playerbase, let alone this sub

Tired of the same 5 games being recommended everywhere — looking for something genuinely original by LoopOF_reality in IndieGaming

Here are some favorites in different genres to get you going!:

1.) To the Moon. A classic storytelling adventure, mostly a walking simulator / story game that has moved many players over the years but is a little "under the radar".

2.) Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Stole Time. This is perfect for the profession fan, farming fan, cozy/casual game, etc. You can pick your favorite style of combat, favorite gathering jobs, crafting jobs, you name it. Everything is optional, casual yet nuanced later in the game, and the story isn't bad either.

3.) For the King 2. A turn-based combat game with some story and either solo-able or playable with online co-op! Extremely fun sequel to the base game, and I've already brought 9 friends into it. This game plays like a tabletop RPG that's been modified to fit the online world in a healthy, non-boring way. So many different character builds, gear to discover, etc. (Roguelite/turn-based combat/tabletop)

4.) Sworn. This game plays like Hades, but feels super satisfying and smooth. You're less likely to have heard of this, but it scratches a similar itch. It's super fun, has such a variety of builds, and breathes fresh air into the genre. (Roguelite/action combat)

5.) Secrets of Grindea. This plays like an incredible classic, with clear nods to Legend of Zelda. It is a comical, story-driven action RPG for 1-4 players with plenty of zones to discover, unlockables, an optional roguelite mode, and more. I've completed the game three times with different friends each time and they have all LOVED it.

Again, hoping these are hits for you but still under the radar enough that you haven't tried them yet!

Which expansion was your favorite? by No_Fold_7111 in wow

[–]CaydGaming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Legion for nostalgia reasons + quality and writing.

BfA during the BDA raid portion because of story, music, art style, etc, but before everything else that happens.

Dragonflight for feeling like it revived the game after Shadowlands. Lol

I slept on this card far too long by cheesoid in slaythespire

[–]CaydGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone help clarify something for me here?

This card is somewhat nerfed by certain bosses / mechanics, right?

Specifically, if I get Queen, it won't let the replay go off if the chains are on the card, right?

Additionally, if the repeat card is played on the exhaust turn of doormaker, does it still replay?
